Mostly for me it’s about whether designers have a good grasp of what’s cheap and what’s expensive in the medium of the web when it comes to performance:
Fonts: in print, use as many as you want but on the web that gets weighty
Colours: expensive in print, cheap as chips on the web
Want gradients on a website? No problem!
Want a customised drop-down or date picker? Gonna cost ya
