#nfl my cousin had a chance to talk to new #Browns coach Todd Monken at a recent Cavs playoff game. He was really down to earth. THANKFULLY my cousin refrained from talking football - as Todd was 'off duty' (he's never really off duty now if he comes out of his house). So now we're definitely fans of coach.

I don't actually like the Venom character although he was all the rage with later GenX and early Millennials. That black symbiote alien story was neatly and logically resolved after possessing Peter Parker for a good three years. Turning it into a monster that talked made it less interesting to me. But like many things in comics and life i'm in the minority opinion. Anyhow I looked and didn't find *ANY* of this guy's work that I actually enjoy.

Writer Dave Michelinie was signing comic books at my local comic shop on Saturday. First one was free and he charged $10 for subsequent signatures that go to his local cat shelter. He co-created Venom & Carnage (venom's bad guy).
I realized I only had two comics that he was involved with as a "co-plotter" from the early 80s - an Iron Man comic and a Star Wars issue. I actually aged out of my main early teen collecting phase before Venom was created in 1988.

Just drove by church tonight. The parking lot is pretty full. They are initiating the new Catholics tonight. The Priests LOVE when adults join. They don't really seem to care too much about baptising and confirming the children. But new adults? They love it. My hypothesis is that the new adult Catholics are as near to crazy as the priests were when the priests made their decisions to become priests. So the priests find a kinship with them.

On another note: My wife tossed a strawberry plant in a planter last fall. I saved it behind the garage. It's alive and I cut off the old stuff. I do believe I will get strawberries!!

Holy spit we got hit again in Cleveland this evening. I left my orifice at 5:30 and half way to the car the Emergency broadcast system was blaring on my phone with a tornado warning. The clouds were ominous and it was green to the northwest (off the lake). I was looking for a funnel. As I closed my trunk this heavy burst of wind and rain hit. My dad wouldn't buy a gaming only console. So he bought a TI 99 4/a because he liked their calculators. And I talked him into a couple of games for my birthday. So I learned to program games.

Because of this:
The 2600 cannot store a screen in memory

I then got their ...And Justice For All (1988) and noticed it didn't have a bass guitar, which was famously left out by Lar Ulrich. Didn't really care for it. But then I LOVED 1991's Metallica (the black album). Only very recently have I went back and listened to Master of Puppets the song. IMO, it's not as good as anything on their first album nor 1991. #sorrynotsorry
