Act too soon, and the gambit fails.
Trump is going to keep uttering his demand, even as he's reasonably sure the Senate will not act (and even if they did it'd be inadequate milquetoast half-measures), and when the last possible moment for executive action to save the nation arrives, he'll act.
If I had to bet on it, I'd wager some time right around the 4th of July, but that is just my personal guess at the moment.

Trump has to be able to argue before SCOTUS in an emergency hearing that the only, the singular, the unavoidable demand for action is his to take at that exact moment in history. He has to be able to prove that the legislature cannot act as a branch of government fast enough to deal with the problem. He has to persuade SCOTUS that the only way to save the Constitution is emergency action that bypasses typical daily procedures, including the extra-constitutional Senate filibuster rule.

Because the Senate's failure to act is not a riot, because they are not burning down buildings or killing people in the streets, Trump has to wait until the last moment when only decisive action by the President is capable of dealing with a threat that the Senate kicked down the road far enough to make it impossible for any legislative action to save the day. If the so-called talking filibuster were required, then Senators would have to stay up late maintaining debate in an uninterrupted manner from the podium. They'd have to expend substantial effort. Further given, I believe, that Obama was completely compromised by the Muslim Brotherhood, I would not be shocked to learn that the East Wing was riddled with security breaches, and that these breaches extended into the president's bunker itself.

Since humans use language as our primary means of abstraction and conscious thought, we are easily impressed by tools that can do language stuff. I am old enough to remember how impressive spellcheckers were at first (before they became annoying!). Grammar checkers were even more impressive.

In the here and now it is a speculative move against whatever future value or utility it will have as a means of exchange. But I simply cannot imagine, absent a collectivist one world government, that the governments of nation-states will simply hand over their sovereignty and abandon either their currencies or their gold reserves.

While, for example, devaluing a currency may be terrible from the point of view of the citizenry, it may be highly beneficial and/or even necessary for a government.
I can see no reason why a nation would want to abandon key sovereign powers, nor do I see why they'd want to abandon a defensible physical backing to their currency.

A sovereign currency provides control over a nation's economy. It provides independence for international trade. It provides key powers that are associated with the sovereignty of a nation-state.
Gold provides a physical, tangible, and defensible form of backing for a nation's currency, if the government so wishes. By defensible, I mean it can be held, secured, and protected from theft/seizure/etc., in a nation's interior or in third party vaults (less secure).

Every so often, he checks to see what's up, generally finds out that he's been personally subsidising the place, and we have to shake the tree for some support.
Not very sophisticated, but it seems to work.

Hearing multiple reports of Hamas atrocities in Gaza.
If the peace deal is going to endure & have effect, what has happened is that the task of killing the rest of the Hamas leadership and any stubborn fighters will be performed by third party nation muslim troops rather than Israeli.
Otherwise, Israel will have to finish the job and undertake the occupation.
I expect that this behaviour from Hamas was well anticipated and will be properly managed.
The suffering of Gaza is as yet unfinished.

And we also hear, after Pfizer bent the knee, that AstraZeneca had come on board with Trump's scheme.
