the survey has reminded me of a problem I have. I'd like to register a _something_ as the legal entity behind mastodon.radio, but also I don't know how to do that and also maintain my own privacy. All the ways I know of in the UK involve my full name, DOB, and address being in a public register.
I think this puts me at personal risk, but also the other thing puts me at personal risk!

the main cost is hosting, which is in £, but the domain is in euro and the email is USD.
Donations are received in all three too.
Maybe ask for the "main currency used" and ask respondents to convert anything else to that?
Maybe also interesting to know what currencies people are dealing in and if that matches their / server location and if they are at risk of issues with payment processors 🤷

These are just the 66 that haven't verified their email address.
Not that it matters, they're all the same email address - a random gmail account using +username over and over
If you're a server admin and NOT requiring approvals for registration I'm giving you serious side-eye right now
Not shown, the 8 accounts that had verified the email address and still got rejected

yeah I understand the reality vs the technical possibility (FTTP has the theoretical ability to be symmetrical, right?)
For me I want faster upload so I can have faster VPN connection back home to access my library of music etc. when away from home.
I realise that is not "normal".
I could go from 500mbps to 900 for only £8 more a month! But it would only add 30mbps to my upload speed.
I pay for more download than I need to get upload close to what I want.

I've decided I don't want to get left behind and have taken my first steps to embrace "AI" guidance in my life.
I bought a tarot deck and will now be using "Arcana Insights" every day.
I'll also be pulling a card every time someone says "I asked chat gpt" in a work meeting.
Today I pulled 5 of swords, which perfectly captures my face whenever someone says "I asked chat gpt".
I dropped this into the meeting chat, warning of hollow victories and the need for building on evidence.

I think you need to calm down with the hashtags. This has nothing to do with war, or NATO. Putin does not control earthquakes or tsunamis.
There is no information on location, so impossible to say if Ukraine is relevant either. Regardless, I doubt this is Zelensky walking his dog.
Also, you never seem to include image descriptions. If you want people to share your posts on the fediverse you'll have a lot more luck if you use alt text.

I love Eurovision, I've watched it every year for as long as I can remember. We've hosted Eurovision parties with bouncy castles.
But they've once again allowed Israel to participate.
I can't separate art from artist when the artist is representing a country and a government that are perpetuating genocide.
Eurovision kicked out Russia for invading Ukraine.
But they won't kick out Israel.

eh, "real" servers aren't that expensive. I've got a couple of VPSs with fast hosts and you can get a very basic one for about £32 a year.

whatever you do, practice it and use it, don't wait for the need to arise.
A generator with expired fuel or mechanical issue isn't any use when you suddenly need it.
Nor is a hypothetical gun if you can't shoot straight.
Get comfortable doing / using whatever so when (if) you need to do/use it under pressure you're focusing on the immediate need not the thing.

really useful stuff there. I've abandoned overriding the theme on my own site because I got myself tied in knots with state and using the OS preferences.
Will have to try again with your tips.
You mention prefers-contrast: less
But I've never found how to set this preference, only increased contrast, do you know something secret I don't?

I can't decide if the pans that do this OR the one with a "sealed" handle that still gets water in but it doesn't come out until you take it out the cupboard again a couple of days later to find a puddle and it keeps dribbling are worse.
