Wow. Je viens de lire leur "réaction". Prévisible à 100%. Chaque fois qu'on parle de leur projet ou un autre ils sont là...
Si on dit qu'un tel projet est bien c'est du "harcèlement" contre eux (ou le projet est financé par je sais pas quoi comme la CCP).
Ils surveillent des dizaines de comptes et sont prévenus dans leur Discord quand ces comptes publient.

at the end of the install you can choose, can't you? I use the netinst iso.
At the Software Selection screen?
I think LXQt is great, but not for everyone. Xfce and Cinnamon would be good choices.

If they're calling you criminals then they must also admit that they've let the OS grow and operate in broad daylight for like 6 years and done nothing. The whole thing is dumb.
The journalist from Le Parisien (owned by B. Arnault) covers police and crime news, but this should have been handled by their tech writer. They refer to GrapheneOS as a "new solution"... France also supports Chat Control in Europe, so getting out of here is a good idea.

so many students come to the school where I teach based on rankings. It is all for show. They accept nearly every applicant so other schools have fewer butts in chairs and somehow that makes us look better? And then they survey them 3 years after graduation and ask how much money they make? And for some reason our school needs to pay to be accredited and on the ranking list?

I read this yesterday and felt sick. I then spoke with some people about it and was disgusted to find they had zero sympathy and called her an idiot for going there.
"Why would she get involved in something she has no stake in?" They said.
"Why would a human care about human rights?" I answered.
They said she did it for fame!
What are these people watching and reading that they had ZERO CLUE that a flotilla even existed but are able to state "she does it for fame" and turn a blind eye?

My school has a language department. Within the department there are more departments for each language. The English department is pretty big compared to others, so to make sure we're all teaching the content we have a syllabus.
Normal.
But, some of the colleagues make booklets. Big booklets. Booklets containing articles and exercises copied and pasted from around the web and other sources. The fonts change. The numbering system changes. The spacing and kerning are whatever...

This post is going around again.
It is true. 600 words isn't much.
Today my students are having a fit because I asked them to write 350 words in two hours.
A few years ago it was double that (700). When I started teaching it was always 1500, in class, no notes.
I remember when it changed though. The students coordinated and refused to write more than 500 words for an exam asking for 1500.
The prof failed them all, but then the school "curved" the grades and they passed. The prof quit.

only 30 but I was stuck on a handful of the levels that were more puzzle-like than the others. I remember this in the arcades, but at that time we started getting Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Games like this gathered dust. But it is addictive.

Yesterday I asked a group of students a question. It was just for fun. Not really à propos of anything we were studying.
There were 13 students, all 22-years-old or older.
I asked, "When do you think the first email was sent?"
After a moment a student suggested 2001 as a possible date.
I said, "never mind, just look it up, you'll be a little surprised."
