How is (cheap) plain #nailPolish, in medium-light & light shades preferably (as available in USA at large box stores), to write/mark plastic, rubber, silicone, metal surfaces which could be smooth and/or polished?
Alternatively are there some type of #markers I should look for?
Sharpie "permanent" marker rubs off easily from polished metal, smooth plastic surfaces & does not last long.

Am well aware of possible conflicts, especially when it comes to installing a package built with non-default options via ThePorts, or multiple or different versions of, say, Perl|Python.
I will emphasize "cannot be bothered otherwise" as stated earlier.
"You pay your money & you take your chances."
(Alternative obviously is to allocate more space & time (including patience, than I have) to the installation of _all_ the software from ThePorts.)

The message is rather odd given that "mako" v1.3.5* had been installed earlier!
Do the paths searched for "mako" -- should be listed in "*/ports/graphics/mesa-libs/work/mesa-24*/_build/meson-logs/meson-log.txt" -- make sense?

Could parse "ports/devel/git/Makefile" https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/devel/git to find out; #FreshPorts https://www.freshports.org/devel/git may have something.

- boot in "single user" mode via the FreeBSD menu;
- edit "/etc/rc.conf" to comment out the relevant "kld_list" (or, whatever else responsible to load the GPU driver);
- exit, to "normal" mode;
- build the driver port, or install the package, for the relevant version;
- load the driver module;
- start GUI.

- before both, have started using “Lockdown Mode”
- using Mastodon web client in (regularly updated) Firefox/iOS
… anyway …
In last 2-3 days am seeing not-logged-in page after leaving Firefox application. Then only after trying different URLs (with(out) “/home”) & reloading few times do I get the expected HOME.

(I am highly superficially aware of the machinery involved; may not be able to solve the issues.)
Unless the dependencies happened to be installed as part of various other Rust packages, explicit packages are not available (on FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE, "latest"). The installation largely (in case "rust" version required is available as a package) would have to be done outside of system packages.
