I would be a bit concerned that it might prevent you from getting a mortgage...even making minimum payments until you can pay it off is a plus. It sucks, but it shows the attempt.

That is very good news...I didn't know you had determined where, which is half the battle. Saying a prayer you find the perfect place at the perfect price.
I'm chugging...things are getting settled in bits and pieces, but the lion's share of issues are over with. It's those last few remaining things that are driving me crazy, but I never was a patient person. It's all good, MJ...thanks for asking.
