Gorf was conceived as an alternative to Gab, thus the name - "frog backwards". The boomer who made it was planning to build his own ecosystem, complete with a streaming service, a video hosting, a news website, and a payment processor. He probably learned about the fediverse when people joined it instead of his website (yet another dogshit twitter clone for boomers) during one of the 2021-2022 twitter ban waves and gab exoduses, so he launched gorf.pub, a pleroma instance that federated, but didn't like not being able to control the network, so he created a bunch of alt accounts on other instances to shill gorf.com. At the same time, he was posting memes promoting gorf on gorf, to an audience of himself alone. This meme wasn't the only one he made, but it was by far the funniest.

@nprofile…rhdf I’m using a component to hdmi converter because there’s no component (or composite) input on this tv. progressive scan works fine, with a frame of latency added compared to crt (or any tv capable of displaying raw analog signal), as expected, but interlaced signal has to be deinterlaced, and there’s no way to disable that.
It works by setting graphics synthesizer registers, so if the game logic is tied to frame rate, it starts running at twice the speed, because the game processes drawing one progressive scan as two interlaced fields and updates the state twice per frame or something I guess. It works fine in some games though, like gta: san andreas, ico and shadow of the colossus (supports progressive scan natively, but with gsm you can run it in 1080i)

(I'm trying to run everything with progressive scan because the TV I'm playing on has slow deinterlacing that adds two frames of latency)

Killzone runs at 10-15 fps on real hardware, aiming at moving targets is impossible. Unplayable
Gungrave is boring - you just walk forward and press square to shoot with auto aim (though it looks like something 12 year old me would think is the coolest thing ever)
Killer7 is weird, but seems good so far

I'm not going to watch the video to see which procedure he got, but it seems like it was plasmid-mediated. The effect is supposed to last for a few weeks at most, and it looses effectiveness with each subsequent procedure. AAV gene therapy lasts for a few months and up to a year, but you would typically get permanent acquired immunity to the serotype used in the shot, and even with a different one each next procedure will have a less powerful effect than the previous one. It's a slight life extension at best.

It says to reorder the frequency lines in subband order. Subbands are blocks of 18 frequency lines representing contiguous frequency regions.
Initially the data in scalefactor band order, with each line of the table repeated three times for three windows. The data must be transposed as 3 x L matrices by scalefactor band, so for the first six bands the order will be

ok, turns short blocks need a second reordering (which is never mentioned in the spec) after the first one (which is explained in a confusing and nonsensical way). there are still some problems left, but the audio isn't as broken anymore (I also can't hear the difference)
