In Cleveland area, download both Uber and Lyft. Small city, less drivers. Especially the farther you get from the city. It can get rural pretty quickly, depending the direction.

Our last homeschool co-op meetup is today, as the semester comes to an end. My heart is full and also a little heavy. It's bittersweet saying goodbye for the summer to the rhythm of our weekly meetups, the sound of kids learning and laughing together, and the sweet friendships that have blossomed along the way.
We've been so blessed by this community. I am a naturally introverted and distrusting kind of person (thank you, trauma). But they are godly bunch - encouraging, fun families who have come to feel more like extended family than just co-op friends. They've embraced my kids, and brought me out of my protective shell. The thought of not seeing some of them again until September brings sadness, but we’re also thankful for the memories made and the growth we’ve all shared.
Today, I thank the Lord for this gift of friendship, community, and the freedom to homeschool in such a rich and meaningful way.

I buy my raw milk from an Amish guy who is not close by and sometimes he ships if I'm the only one picking up. He puts foam insulation on the bottom, sides and tops. He packs ice packs (he just freezes water in plastic bags) and overnights it to me. I've never had an issue. I've bought milk, cream, and cheese this way.

I probably snagged this from someone here and don't remember who for credit. But I sent this to my husband. It drives him crazy that he's always working on my 2010 hard drive on wheels with no connected features because I refuse to upgrade to something that tracks me.

I am a sales coach. There is a personality test called AcuMax that does personality assessments. We have all hirees to any company we're working with have potential employees take this assessment before higher. You need someone with a high (80+%) match to sales hunter for cold calling and ideally (60+%) in inside sales to continue nurturing those leads. Check it out. It might alleviate putting the wrong people into your position.

When my oldest was four, he hid a rubber snake under the stove with just the head peeking out. I literally peed myself, but, to be fair, I had just given birth within the week so I blame that. 😆😆😆 Luckily, it never ended up in my bed! I can't imagine the mess I'd have to clean up. 🤣

InvoiceNinja is open source. I run an instance on my umbrel. Then my husband or I can log in from our computers and phones so we always have access. But I could've just run it from the computer as well.

We have this one for the fridge and freezers. We have smaller 300 watt ones for lights, fans, charging phones, laptops, the blower on the wood stove, etc. And two 1000 watts. One for internet devices and servers, one for kitchen appliances I can't live without. 😆

We don't have a gas generator, although we've been talking about it for a while. What we do have are a bunch of these power banks that we use to generate our own power, both in emergencies and for day to day use to be more self-reliant.
I think its a great idea to keep some of these around to be self-soverign in your energy consumption. I'm not an affliate. Just making a recommendation.

I'm really confused about people being upset about Amazon locking down kindles. Do they not know libgen exists? Or that you can airplane mode your device, stop updating, and disconnect your account. You can have all the beautiful e-books you could ever want. For free. Without spying or greed.
I guess there is the argument that "piracy is bad". But last time I checked, spying on all my data and selling it to the government so they can get around the fourth amendment with a pile of money they printed out of thin air + my tax dollars paying for it isn't cool either, so I wasn't planning to support those companies anyway..
