I don't know if it's just me who thinks this way, but when I use a smartphone I what I really want is just a portable computer with a touchscreen that I can connect to wireless (wifi and/or cellular) networks from.
At it's core, that's really why I like postmarketOS. I want something that just works like a normal linux computer, and postmarketOS does exactly that.

That is indeed the reply I read, yes.
It looks to me like it it wasn't really made in bad faith but rather is something that was made without really paying attention to the full context and really thinking. I could be entirely wrong about this, but at least to me Clayton intentionally attacking GrapheneOS seems quite out of character.
To be clear, I don't mean this as an attack. I'm just confused by this.

After reading the post mentioned... I'm confused. By itself, asking for transparency, especially for a notable project, is a reasonable thing to do.
There may be additional details that I missed, but from reading it the reply in question seems to be unrelated to the current situation and is just a more general question.
The only think I can think of for malicious intent is that it was asking to stop focusing on the safety of the GrapheneOS team, which would obviously be concerning.

I've been looking for Android Dev Phone 1 OS images for quite a while, but most (if not all) of them appear to be lost to time.

The only files I could find were the System and Recovery image files for Android 1.6. All earlier ones I failed to find.

Quick PSA about https://frequency.app:
1. It's not actually the unique platform it tries to make itself look like. It's a Mastodon fork.
2. *In violation of Mastodon's AGPLv3 license*, Frequency is proprietary, or at the very least does not provide any link to the source code.
3. They paywall signups.

This was posted on a Google Pixel 3A (sargo) running postmarketOS with Phosh.
If I didn't choose to keep this device alive and useful with postmarketOS, it would have most likely ended up in a drawer somewhere, and then eventually a landfill somewhere.
