I'm not sure, but I think it's a bug. Probably due to the complexity of software supporting so many different package formats.
As far as I know, they are aware, but it needs a pretty big rework to get rid of. I think the threading rework is part of that.

I was mostly confused, by aral claiming, that nobody could test their websites for accessibility when running linux.
kinda thought the accessibility of flutter was more of a problem, when it comes to linux.

I also find the 8/9 year claim misleading - as you first claim the important part is the default being wayland, but then quote the year of wayland introduction, where it wasn't default and you would still end up booting into X11.

this is puzzling to me, I'm on fedora and have had some specific browser screenreader things to test at the end of last year and it just worked. At least from the pov of a sighted.
I know there are big efforts to modernize the whole accessability stack, driven by the gnome team and the stf. You are probably right and we should be mad it's not IBM spending their money on it.

Can't update one of my machines to #fedora 42 it seems, reinstall with keeping /home it is then. Luckily that's not too much work and the new installer is just sooo much better.

Using #gnome with a #steam #bigpicture setup unfortunately sucks. Changing it to login automatically and start steam big picture wasn't that bad.
Here are some problems:
1. You need something to prevent the overview on startup, like https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/4099/no-overview/
2. Remote desktop dialog pops up randomly, whenever steam tries to do something with the on screen keyboard https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/7439
3. Controllers going empty will throw up a permanent notification, even if you enabled DND.

it's paused, still waiting for the organizational stuff. gnome software always worked AFAIK, as flatpak handles it, but you'll need a browser I think.
the bummer will probably be, only creditcards and I guess only works in america?

I've added a new card to the landing page of flathub.org yesterday, focused on games.
We have been trying to do this for quiet some time and I know that the results (as in what is in which category) are not perfect, but putting this out there hopefully helps us move things.

As part of working on #flathub it turned out how weird it is that, most app authors don't invest enough time into marketing their app or at least getting it to show up in a decent way.
For example, why should the default/first screenshot of your game be the launch screen and not actual gameplay?
