Tell him thank you. 3 years ago, he went on Glenn Beck to explain the FTX blow-up. While doing so, he left a few bread crumbs explaining why Bitcoin is different than crypto. I knew nothing of either. But his short interview changed the course of my life. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but it’s true. I started down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. Throwing it back to the 2000s-2010s when a $100 bill turned us underage Texans into kings for a weekend in a border town (Acuna, Mexico)! 🍻 Those carefree trips, filled with laughter and adventure, feel like a different world now. I’m sure things weren’t as safe as I remember (and there’s much that I don’t), but it’s a shame that border violence and maybe a lack of youthful daring keep today’s college kids from these epic road trip weekends.

Update: These past two weeks, we have had the privilege to meet/host my wife’s recently discovered half-brother. He was born in Texas, but adopted and raised by a loving family in Sweden. As an adult, after establishing a DNA connection, he came to meet his biological father and extended family in West Texas.
It was an enriching experience for all involved.
This has been a great reminder that everyone around us is on a journey unique to them. Be kind to people, love one another, and give others grace.
Sometimes you need to treat that stranger as if they are family. And stop treating your family like strangers.
