Friends! I just got caught up (AGAIN) with syncing Bandwagon to The Indie Beat Radio. If you've uploaded anything after Feb 16 (I was that far behind), it should start showing up in rotation on the radio station now.
Remember though, tracks longer than 6 minutes don't go into the Everything channel. If they're tagged as Ambient or Electronic, they do show up there.
Ben from Bandwagon had kindly provided me with a code package to automate this process, months ago. But I haven't installed yet.

I think this is the kind of thing that would benefit from us asking , (i) what do we want to accomplish via voting, (ii) what's the outcome and for whom, (iii) why do we want to achieve that outcome, and (iv) how else could we accomplish it?
I'd be really interested in your vision of how this would play out in an ideal scenario. Ignoring the technical challenges and details, what's your mind's eye narrative of what would happen?

With the news about Flipboard’s Surf app, I just have to share the app that I created back in 2015, Xapnik. It was a single client to combine your Twitter and Insta feeds, organizing them by person instead of one big firehose.
My mistake? Supporting closed networks instead of open ones. But RSS feeds were next on the roadmap! I also had Disqus working.

I'd be really interested to know more details. How many influencers? What's their subject matter? Etc.
Their reasons seem 100% rational given *what influencers do.* They're (as I think of them) in the business of understanding the day to day machinations of the platforms' algorithms to a large extent. Which is a valid occupation. That skillset doesn't put food on the table, tho, in the fedi.
Is your position that influencers should be here?
