interesting yeah! I have been seeing a node called that already but it's kinda unclear if it's actually up there. if it were I feel like stuff just around town would work better too but usable coverage seems really lacking so far in practice

yeah it seems to have maybe been turned off but for a while some 85% of the nodes that were showing up here in the Tri-Cities were from Othello and Moses Lake — my guess was someone had set up an MQTT bridge either for their own specific purposes or to try link the whole region better? still learning what to expect

oh I did see a node reporting from Hermiston recently up here in the Tri-Cities, said it was 2 hops away but traceroute (as usual) didn't work for me to try see how

yeah something else seems to be going on in your code, this works same on https://utils.ipcalf.com passing `false`:

Oh interesting, so could see it right at the ground even!
Figured out [sorta…] the image thing, it's ± on my end. For some reason Spectrum's DNS dislikes your domains and returns 127.0.0.54 for them. Used to happen with ingallswx‌.com too but apparently now just affecting only the ingalls.weathertogether‌.net used by the image 🤷

how are inversions measured, with a gradient across just 7 meters seems like it'd be hard for e.g. a balloon to even measure quickly enough as it rockets through?
(also btw "A diagram showing the cause and impacts of a temperature inversion." might have gone missing mid-post.)
