So here's me again on my sewing nonsense.
Absolute ages ago I bought this fabric from Minerva Crafts that I thought was *great*. It was navy poly with a linen texture that I got for £4 a meter. Cheap fabric that looks like expensive fabric? Winner winner.
I bought it to make Deer and Doe Fumeterre skirt which is lovely all round.

In the process of collecting *waves hand* electronics stuff I have also decided to get rid of couple of Very Old hard drives.
(Why on earth did I still have a 2.5 spinny IDE drive?)
When I have to throw out a harddrive I don't trust erasing and formatting one goddamn bit, because I've seen what modern data recovery software can do and that's scary.
So I take them fuckers apart.
Which means YAY I have three new strong magnets. They look like some cyberpunk jewellery.

I wrote the instructions manual on getting better at laundry when you suck at laundry, but I continue to suck at laundry
On which subject you should always have vinegar in the house. If you suck at laundry and forget to take wet laundry out to hang it:
- rewash on a long cycle with Vanish if available
- run another cycle from rinse stage again with 150ml of white vinegar
Most of your laundry will be demustified! Dry, smell test, rewash as needed.

@npub1fs3…wylg fun fact: older Dell laptops (and probably others) have a total number of charge cycles they will accept before they deem it "unusable" despite it still functioning. Afaik this is encoded at firmware level and can't be changed.
This is ostensibly for safety reasons, but something about it screams planned obsolescence to me.
