So my wife got shingles pretty bad….
classic symptoms: a single strip of rash, incredibly painful 2 week ordeal.
My kids are uninjected, but (knock on wood) seems like they are not going to get anything.
I got chicken pox as a kid, but my kids have never had any pox.
So whats going on with this contagious condition? How many people in my position (who vaxed their kids) would then credit the vax with the lack of spread?
I should mention too, that my wife didn’t catch it from anyone. She is a housewife and we live in the country, and they just appeared.

Yesterday while walking across the local supply yard for A load of gravel, my 11 year-old son unconsciously and unselfconsciously reached out and held my hand as we walked.
There has never been a single time my heart wasn‘t filled with joy when one of my children has reached out to hold my hand, but there is something special and magical and beautiful when you know that any time could be the last time—because they have out-grown it. By the grace of God, such blessings do not pass by me unnoticed.
These are the treasures of my life….My most profound blessings.

I thought it was interesting enough to get a masters degree about it. (cultural anthropology).
I had this idea that the emergent crisis of masculinity was something we should start talking about.
I quickly learned, was told to my face even, that that nobody wants to hear that shit from a white man. This was after of course, living in Africa for a year to learn about the African, rather than researching my own noble ancestry.
In graduate school for Anthropology, it has to be about disabled black lesbians at least this was true back in the 90s.

I definitely hope so. On the surface, most normies I know (who are not hopeless boomers) won’t go anywhere near these subjects in conversation. Nobody seems to want to bring social media bullshit into real life in my circle of parents—nobody is discussing politics or current events at any level for the most part. Everyone seems to instinctively understand it is devicive poison.
In my microscopic community, of which most are self identifying lefties, when I (rarely, in passing) mention Covid, I only reference it as the “scamdemic.” Nobody ever argues with me or even reacts. I think They suspect strongly it’s true.

By God’s grace, I think this is true. They can’t contain the psychological operations, or the enshittification of every institution.
However,
I think they don’t necessarily need a real civil war, just enough footage and events to create the demand on social media. for the government to DO SOMETHING in the old crisis-reaction framework.
It’s like the “pogroms” in “200 years.“ They assault the peasants enough, when the peasants fight back they have propaganda pre-formed for instant deployment. This time it will be “race war” or “class war” or tranny war or whatever….
Anything to pump up social media feeds…
