I've been all around the world and there had never been a place I felt more unwelcome as a progressive Jew than in Israel. And it was a long time ago, I was young and hadn't expected that, and the shock of it kinda opened my eyes and rippled though a lot of things.

I agree with David. The way it was taught about in schools was certainly that Icarus was at fault. But I think technologists should look at it and recognise our responsibility.

Speaking of things not being rocket (...), I was just reminded of how I used to have a professor who'd say "this is not rocket science" all the time.
The class was Advanced Quantum Field Theory, incomparably more complex than actual rocket science. 🥲

Another NEWAG train just stopped and a regional Polish operator is looking for someone to fix it. 😅

It also says the train is currently undergoing a routine servicing which makes it sound like this happened while at a competitor's workshop... again.

It's the trolley problem. If you have a chance to make it run over 5 people instead of 20 and do nothing, you're complicit in the death of 15.
The trolley is already running, it's one or the other.
