Tomorrow, the world celebrates Saint Marcellinus of Ancona.
The special thing about this holiday is that you should give a loved one a book that, if possible, is about a boy on a bicycle accompanied on his journey by a little green dinosaur.
I just so happen to have the perfect book for you 🙂
Don't miss out!

The book about my long bicycle trip last year is now available in English in the worst bookstores in Caracas 🙂

One of the goals of my trip will be to write a thesis on the history of Indian art. In this video, I explain my new program of studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and how it will be connected to my cycling trip to India, starting on January 29th, 2026.

On January 29, I'll be leaving for India
Many friends will be with me, including you at Mastodon and many others in the virtual and real world.
One of my childhood idols will surely be there, Sandokan, who made my mind soar to distant and adventurous destinations.
Thanks to Alex for bringing Little Ciubekka's dream to life, as usual.

One of the focuses of the trip will be the history of art, so I'll write an essay on painting, sculpture, and architecture; in short, the fine arts of the incredible Indian continent.
Any help and advice is welcome.

My next bike journey to India begins tomorrow.
As always, it begins with a departure date (January 29, 2026?) and a rough itinerary, but most importantly, with the charity project.
This time, too, the journey will begin in Valdagno, Vicenza, and tomorrow is the big day.

Poco convinto, molto condannato

Next Tuesday I had a flight to Georgia, where I would have started my bike journey to India, yes I had because I decided not to take it.
I travel for myself, to understand who I am and to help those less fortunate than me.
The last few days have changed the course of events and today a journey that began five years ago with the pandemic ends and a new one begins that I don't know where it will take me but that I'm very happy to travel.
Thank you for your support

It's been exactly one year since the beginning of the last long journey that took me from Sardinia to the Holy Land.
Since then my life has changed completely.
1️⃣ I took off the jacket and tie that I used in my beloved SAP projects and started wearing colorful cycling shirts.
2️⃣ I stopped traveling for work around the world and started traveling first within myself and then to help others

I pass by this mural every day.
How I would have loved to visit Palmyra on my last bike tour to the Middle East.
I would have honored a great person, Khaled Mohamad al-Asaad.
He was a Syrian archaeologist who headed the antiquities in the ancient city of Palmyra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
He held this position for over forty years.
Al-Asaad was publicly beheaded by the Islamic State on 18 August 2015, at the age of 83.

Hellooo
The playground has arrived to Aqaba, the Jordanian harbour at the Red Sea.
At the same time we are preparing the concrete slab, that cement base on which the accident prevention rubber cover will first be installed and then the playground.
I will be back to Jordan in a few weeks to see the first kids playing on the playground.

Buongiornoooo

#23 Istanbul immediately puts me to the test
I wanted the arrival in Istanbul to be as traumatic as possible.
I had discarded the fastest route, which would have taken me from the border with Greece to the city.
I had no intention of riding on roads with a thousand lanes with an oxygen tank for smog ...

#10 The Apulian escort to the sea
My relatives in Massafra would not want to let me go. The journey is too long, too dangerous. But I have to go; the goal, always leave.
In recent days I have heard from the guys I met on the train in Pescara.
We will do a relay race along the whole of Salento: they will accompany me to the ferry in Brindisi.

GOODBYE MY FRIEND
I knew it would be tough. It would have been seven long months without my friend Ciube, my furry playmate.
The biga was ready, the equipment checked and rechecked. The ferry to Civitavecchia was waiting for me.
I put on the shirt of my superhero Nicolò Barella and headed towards the most difficult moment of my departure: I had to say goodbye to the Ciube.

He told me to wait, the landlady would arrive; In the meantime he offered me some delicious yogurt, the best Turkish medicine I know!
The arrival of Bircan, my hostess, was a ray of sunshine that pierced my heart, curing all my ailments from the groin area upwards in one fell swoop.
Bircan, with his contagious smile and his red bicycle, accompanied me for two days between sumptuous lunches, Turkish groin wizards and paved roads of great desire to travel.

I couldn't share my groin pains with anyone else, I was alone, since I had left Greece every presence of bikepackers!
Cycling towards Izmir I passed by the town of Soma, where I had found accommodation with a family thanks to the Warmshowers application.
I arrived at my destination and a person in front of a pharmacy began to wave his arms. "Do you want to see that the news of my sore groin has reached here?"

I had managed to get back on my feet thanks to the loving care of Büşra, his mother and the mythical cat Eros; Unfortunately, I was left with an annoying pain in my groin.
My cell phone didn't stop flashing: each message was an increasingly pressing invitation to go back, to be examined. I could already see the mother's rolling pin, like Thor's hammer, crossing the Dardanelles strait at full speed!

THE TURKISH CURE
I had been sick, for the first time during my long bike trip, I had been really sick.
I had left the beautiful Istanbul after a week of revelry incompatible with my life as a cyclist.
When I left, my body stuffed with kebabs, weissbier and sleepless nights had not withstood the ups and downs of the beautiful but very tiring hills of the province of Yalova, whose panorama reminded me of my beloved Cinque Terre.

These are strange days, I am not reading Dylan Dog or Nathan Never but the Bible!
Something is moving inside my stomach but I am still not sure whether it is related to Jesus or to too much mayonese 🙂

Do you like to live on the edge?
I do but the last days could have been my last ones cycling on Dubai's 1000-lane highways 🙂
I spent two weeks cycling between UAE & Oman and I have made this video to tell some stories around cows at the beach, suspicious white pills at the border and hospitable Pakistanis!
Have fun watching it !

Buona serata a tuuutt*

Have you ever had a game changer?
I had it some weeks ago and it was the island of Qeshm in the Persian Gulf!
I could enjoy the beauty of that island together with an incredible community of Iranians who escaped the chaos of the big cities to find a more free and relaxing life.
I am missing it every single day but life must (unfortunately) go on!
I made the usual video if you'd like to watch it.
Enjoooy it!

Do you know any good news coming from Iran?
Probably not !
If you listen only to the news then Iran is an evil place but if you look into the heart of its people then you will find out a wonderful place.
I spent the last two months cycling through Iran and this is my story of this incredible country and its wonderful people!
Enjoy it !

Do you have lust for life?
The Rock Iguana sang it in the late seventies when the little Ciubekka was still playing with Gundam and Mazinga Z 😃
I was last week on the Persian Island of Qeshm and I loved its UNESCO Geopark, Canyons, Rock formations, Beaches and sparkling people community!
Many young people let crazy Tehran to live a new and peaceful life on Qeshm!
I made my last my video there

Do you like to bite the dust ?
The little Ciubekka has been doing it for the last three weeks in the south of Iran!
I have been cycling to super desertic areas full of rocks, mud and dust!
Dj Dino has made one of his famous videos about the song of Queen "Another bites the dust"
Freddy Mercury's family is also originally from Persia and this is then the perfect fit!
Enjoy iiit!
