Especially when I try to focus on and boost only positive, heartwarming, and useful toots, and judiciously mute or block those who are especially obnoxious or aggressive. And at times I even relish the messiness that’s inherent in an unruly orchard of freezed peaches!
So I extend my deepest gratitude to both of you for all the wonderful, and even the occasionally uncomfortable, experiences I enjoy here on NAS!

- Heard donations on the show from local people, found them on NAS, and started hanging out as friends IRL.
- And, most importantly for me lately, as a former agnostic, I’ve found much encouragement here in my faith journey towards God. ☀️✨🌻☦️
Admittedly, I sometimes have trouble resisting doom-scrolling at length or engaging in unproductive interactions. Nonetheless, my experiences on NAS are overwhelmingly positive.

- Heard about news and world events from perspectives I wouldn’t have otherwise encountered.
- Enjoyed the fact that NAS has the best memes! (And admittedly many, MANY terrible ones. ;)
- Found out about a wide variety of producers’ businesses and purchased items from them.
- Made numerous business connections and earned money providing services to other producers.

@npub1pmn…7cwg -- I'm trying to put alpha-gal syndrome into remission and repairing my gut seems to be a big part of that. Since I can't eat mammal ingredients, I'm going to try unrefined coconut oil instead of butter. Thanks for the idea! :D

@npub1rqc…u8ry @npub10h9…cmfp — as Calirado refugee moved to Missouri, my experience with others that have moved from blue states is that we’re way more based/conservative/small-government than most normie, mainstream locals. Like many things here, they’re still about 10-15 years in the past, when “trying to be a bit more inclusive” could seem relatively reasonable. YMMV :)

I hide this book whenever I see it somewhere, if not buy it cheap just to throw it away. 😅

We made an impulse purchase at the local animal swap. 😂
I’ve been eyeing this guy’s beautiful adult Muscovys for months now, and today he sold me 8 one-week-old ducklings for $20! (It was the end of the event and he didn’t want to have to take any back home.)
These little rascals have sharp claws, are known to be broody mamas and protective papas, but still easy to tame, adults require minimal housing and feed, they have tasty meat and eggs, and will be out free-ranging in a couple months. 😍
