Maybe Mastodon should add a source field for images and videos. Most of the other social media seem to be aiming to obscure the truth. Mastodon should facilitated encourage verification of sources. Help build up trust networks.

Unsurprising. I believe Inserm (FR medical research org) has always lost money on patents, while the CNRS (general science) did make money for a while but because of single patent (Taxol).
The world leader in technology transfer is MIT. They do make money, but still only 1-2% of their total budget. (Numbers from memory.)
Hardly worth the effort.

Cultures and legal frameworks can change. Cf Northern Ireland. And I'd be more than happy for EU protections against discrimination to be reinforced in the process.
Anyway, I'm just suggesting what seems to me to be a slightly less unrealistic long-term path to peace than a two-state proposal. All plans have their flaws, which is maybe why you say you don't "really have any opinions", except of course you do.

The suggestion has nothing to do with emigration and I'm not suggesting that the Israelis would or should emigrate to the EU, although they obviously should have the same rights and confidence to do so as anybody else in the EU.
The suggestion is about how to create a fair society, including (especially) for the Palestinians.

My "goal" is peace and justice?
I suspect it will be extraordinarily difficult for the Israelis and Palestinians to come to agreement alone. Being part of a greater whole offers a template, encouragement, pressure maybe, and economic benefits (a key aspect of the Northern Irish agreement)

I think a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine is barely feasible and should maybe not be the objective. Theocracies generate discrimination and conflict.
Better would be a single country, with strong protection of racial and religious freedom. Maybe as part of the EU to help guarantee those freedoms. Inspired by Northern Ireland.
