Any tips for improving color fidelity when #printing using #cups on #Linux? I use a #Brother printer (of course), and usually only print B&W, but I have a need to print color flyers and my greens look blue. I don't expect perfect output on this (my model isn't made for that), but I expect better than this.

I appreciate the thoughtful connection. I'm not sure I would put it the same way; I read new testament holiness as being associated with our *inseparable union* with God in Christ, We are in him; he is in us; we did not make that union happen nor can anything ever separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. As our lives are conformed to this reality we will stand out, for sure; but that union is more real and necessary than any separation.

Help me decide on a #smartLock.
We need to provide access to multiple parties which will change over time, thus we will occasionally revoke access too. Unique, non-duplicated number codes are fine. I also like the idea of a fingerprint lock (if it's fast) and require a physical keyway for eventual battery failure.
This will replace an existing deadbolt.
I hate to require a phone app for it, but also don't want "blind codes" to be in circulation & forgotten about. Some of the app-less smart locks make this failure mode easy.
I will install the lock and its software myself.
We have a mix of Android and iPhone/iwatch/ipad users in the home. Not a sophisticated smart-home setup, but we have a few devices from brands you'd know.
BONUS if we can issue one set of codes that works in multiple locks (and revoke for all the locks all at once).

Looks great. I like a dark purple, blue-black, that sort of thing. Strong contrast with white paper and still a saturated color.

I think I've decided that I'll use tiny N100 platforms or similar in the future except for when I need GPIO. Add case and power supply and storage to a Pi, and the price difference isn't so great.

Suggestions on software to provide both ad blocking and other content filtering for an inline device? I'm familiar with Pi-Hole for ad blocking (I do this today with a raspberry pi that's inside the router's network) but not with other options. The problem with our current setup is that the Pi-Hole only helps with my wireless network; wired clients bypass it by connecting to the internet gateway directly (due to physical constraints).
Thinking of putting a dual-NIC device inline between my router and the internet, for whole-network ad blocking and other content/access control.
Probably a mini-PC running some Linux. Looking at Beelink and GMKtec as likely options.

It's early still, but check out ARM support for the other manufacturers. Apple isn't the only one any more, but you won't find a generic ARM desktop download from Debian or Ubuntu. Fedora has one for aarch64, but it isn't an ISO and they don't have any instructions on how to install it.

Win 10 was so much better in many ways than the windows legacy. From a technical perspective: far more secure (this has been incremental for several releases). Real packaging systems with remote repositories. Fully supported Linux userland. PowerShell is great. Windows Terminal! A UI with some eye candy that mostly stays out of your way.
Win 11 still has most of this, but they broke the UI and made the UX absolutely user-hostile.

One way that barangays differ from USA towns is, as I understand it, every inch of the Philippines is considered part of a local barangay. In the USA the spaces outside town limits (Philippine *town proper*? ) are considered unincorporated areas within counties or parishes. In the USA we don't usually formally distinguish between towns and cities.
