I've said it differently, but This Is The Way. The real power of the One Percent isn't their wealth, it's our dependency upon them: for (a) employment and (b) the products of the mass production that they control! They get us coming and going.

I suppose I need to clarify: I have no difficulty speaking unscripted at all and doing so very articulately and coherently. I can ad lib with the best of them.
The ONLY times that I rehearse are instances where I need to confront someone because I need something from them, whether that be a thing or a change in behavior (most often) or some form of justice. In other words, I need to rehearse situations where the outcome is very much uncertain and every nuance could matter.

HOWEVER, wise choices made in who to Follow results in a more interactive dynamic which you attribute exclusively to Bluesky. How do I know this? Why, because I "engage" with people - and get responses - in Mastodon all the time.

It's Netflix: they released four episodes today. The final four release on September 3rd.
Me, my wife and I are reluctant to watch anything unless we can binge-watch it without a lapse of a week or more. My recall is and always has been poor, so my comprehension suffers with lapses. It's the same reason I always read novels straight through non-stop.

I think perhaps "twice-exceptional" high-functioning autistic people are less prone to self-delusion as well?
I myself am immune to just about anything resembling propaganda absent objectivity, including corporate advertising that appeals to emotion rather than reason. (My all-time favorite of the latter was a Clorox bleach commercial that tried to convince people that THEIR brand of 5% sodium hypochlorite solution was more effective than every other brand of 5% sodium hypochlorite solution!)
Because of that, the intense effort during my childhood to make a Christian out of me failed spectacularly. I do know a couple religious autistic people, but are they the rule and instead me the exception?

It goes on to detail how Seville's poorest neighborhood doesn't even get trees, much less ingenious public works like CartujaQanat.
This mirrors my own experience living in one of the ghettos of my own city, where large shade-giving trees are a rare occurrence and most of the trees that were here when I first moved here have been cut down AND NOT REPLACED. This is in a city that is nicknamed The City of Trees because its affluent downtown area is virtually covered by them.
There is nothing egalitarian about projects like this one.

I chose no party at all. At least the Democrats in California will still let me vote in their primaries. Of course the Republican Party will not. Don't recall for certain, but I don't think the other parties allow it either. I stopped having anything to do with theaters long before smartphones or even cellphones existed. Before those things became potential public disturbances, people found other ways to callously create them, like bringing their ill-behaved children to ruin others' experience.

I don't expect any movie or series to ever accurately reflect the outcomes of advanced intelligence. I can't recall ever seeing one. No, and I can't: I have neuropathy in my feet that leads to pain. I'm also narrow-footed and pronated, the narrow-footedness probably being the root cause of the originating Morton's Neuroma that progressed. Having the same longitudinal bones as everyone else but crammed more tightly together was not a help for the nerves that ran between.
If my feet aren't cushioned and supported in good boots, I'm probably not walking.

That's great, and it may speed logins on that device, but... what happens when you need to log in from a different device or the time comes to replace the device? Ranked-choice or not, the first round of selection needs to be random, as with jury selection. We trust that randomized jurisprudent system with literal life-and-death decisions.
Now imagine for just a moment if we did that any other way that created a popularity contest? If you think our system of justice is imperfect now... it would be MUCH worse if we handled that like we do elections for so-called public servants.
Ranked-choice alone doesn't get the system where it needs to be.

The way I've been phrasing it is that aliens squandered their fossil fuels before they'd developed comparable renewable sources and established an off-world presence, and THEN got trapped on their little rock because they had no more massive stored energy to finish the work of getting to the stars or at least other planets. Definitely no Dyson Sphere, not even a Halo Ring....
I was for a long time worried that would be US. Seeing how quickly we can now migrate to (sorta) renewable sources, however, I wonder if we might still escape that fate. Although... we'll likely need fusion to fuel a mass migration to other planets or stars.

The more I consider his name, the more I'm certain that I've encountered this article or another of his; I *know* that name Chefurka, it's too uncommon not to be noteworthy.
Nothing thus far is surprising, though. I'm the antithesis of the subjective humans he describes, and have always been. I was aware of what he describes even as a teenager. I instinctively reason objectively; I may get emotionally angry or happy about the conclusion, but the emotional need for some result is never an influence on the process. I am (almost) delusion-free.

I would always do it in good faith. The point is excellence and improvement, not condescension.
I would want people to point them out, though I still seem to notice most eventually. What's disturbing is that this is a recent phenom, where in the past I *never ever* swapped words and *always* knew that I had misspelled a word before I was even done typing it. Now it's like I'm developing some word salad dyslexia out of nowhere, my left-handedness finally catching up with me.

I think it was Arthur C. Clarke who once estimated the Earth's *sustainable* human carrying capacity - at our current technological footprint - at 500,000,000. We're many times beyond that carrying capacity, if remotely accurate. No one wants to even talk about overpopulation, but it's the 800-pound gorilla in the room. Pollution wouldn't even be "pollution" for us with fewer numbers, if the Earth had time and space to heal itself.
Humans have been the pandemic, both perpetrator and victim.
