I just noticed that I got a boostagram for Lightning Thrashes from the Wavlake app!
This is very good, at least they're opening their app to outside music shows. A step in the right direction!

Due to my current living situation I am unable to run my own lightning node.
I'm considering using muun wallet because it's non custodial.
Anyone have any thoughts on muun? Is it secure. Is it truly non custodial?

When streaming a show such as "Lightning Thrashes" or "Outside In with Jimmy V" Fountian is "cutting out" quiet spaces during the talking segments making the playback "too fast" and un-natural. The music seems to be playing just fine.
Where is the best place to report bugs for Fountain?
@npub1cvk…4gmw and @npub196e…xwwh report the same issue.

Ok so the episode may not play for you due to the ipfs.podcastgateway.com cert expiry
I removed IPFS from the feed but it'll take a while for caching.
Please help me troubleshoot this. I'm also not sure if the splits are working properly

Steven, This is a good workaround. It's not my preferred way of organizing music but in this case I see the why it should be done.
This speaks a bit to my idea of organizing all singles into one Singles feed. It helps to keep them portable.

Ok. Here's the scenario.
The artist has several "singles" on WL
I want to import them into a self hosted "album".
I can easily enough preserve the Item GUIDs
VTSs rely upon feedGuid and itemGuid
So me putting the songs into one feed will break existing VTSs in shows such as LT and BBall.
Because the multiple feedGuids will now be one feedGuid
Is my understanding correct?

Question:
I'm working with an artist who'd like to move one of their feeds off wavlake and self host.
What is the best way to accomplish this and preserve VTSs in other feeds?
I can easily create a duplicate feed (thanks to musicsideproject.com)
Then manually edit the item GUID to match the WL feed item GUID and submit it to PCI.
Then have him remove the WL feed.
Is this all that needs to be done?
I'm a bit concerned re: feed GUIDs vs item GUIDs and VTSs

I'm torn. Since Alby has gone invite only it seems to me that recommending Podverse (my current app of choice) to new users is not really an option. 🙁
I will be recommending Fountain instead due to it having it's own wallet built in.
It seems that relying on a 3rd party wallet is not the best method.
Has any development been done with the Breez SDK?
Can Fountain provide functionality like Alby does for apps like Podverse, LnBeats, PodcastGuru etc.?

I'm sure it is a mistake due to lack of knowledge of the pc20 system.
Could be resolved by hangin' more with the guys building the tech they rely upon.
I'm not upset about this. I make mistakes like this (and worse) all the time. I just hope it gets resolved quickly.

I love that this is fixable should the IDs remain changed. Thank you.
But what's to stop them from changing them again.?
I think the right solution to this problem is education of the WL dev team that a GUID is meant to be permanent as well as uinique, and they revert their changes.

I don't know if it's possible but I like the idea of channels (much like how video files have multiple channels)

I never really thought of it. Maybe we've been myopic as to the possibilities of the "chapter" file.
Nevertheless the current way chapters are implemented make the boostagrams more intrusive than not.

Boostagrams are not chapters. Why are we shoehorning them into chapters?
We already have a spec for time related text. Transcripts
Boostagrams would work perfectly as a 2nd transcript channel.
Apps just need to create a nice UX to be able to display multiple transcript streams.
Rendering text to to images is wasteful and interferes with the original intention of chapter images.

Boostagrams should not be in chapters.
This is a bad user experience.
I lost my place in the show and these boost chapters are cluttering up the screen, making it more difficult to find my place.
Also @npub1nl7…7x3u PLEASE make the timeline slider only active on long press. This happens nearly every time I grab my phone out of my pocket.

In the Alby api I just set the Auth bearer but that doesn't seem to work with pci api

Desperately trying to find metal songs for my next show, I started clicking on each artist in Wavlake's catalog of 381 artists.
I made to 100 and so far not one metal song that I haven't discovered already.
Please for the love of my Carpal tunnel inflicted index finger can we have search by genre 👆️🖱️🙁
After I get through the wavlake list I need to dig into the pci api to find the rest that aren't on wavlake

I was under the impression that lightning supported mSat payments. Is this correct?
If so then fractional sats would be less of a problem.
If I remember correctly the Alby api's reporting is denominated in mSats.
As the price of BTC rises we'll see smaller streams and boosts, which would lead to more dropped payments.

Here's a conundrum.
If I play a song in my show that was a cover song and I didn't recognize it before publishing. What should I do?
Edit the the show and take out the offending song?
Technically I'd be infringing on the original songwriter's copyright.
Obviously I should research each song but I'm sure eventually at least one will slip through the cracks.
