I'm not sure misstimed is the right description. It seems perfectly timed for the big investers to start selling without collapsing the price.
Though I'm sure the fact Reeves was having meetings with financial lobbyists at a rate of more than one a day, around the time she called for that is entirely coincidental.

That seam is not impossible it just requires bad ironing. If it was an inside seam it would be.
Not just Twins but unrelated people with similar hair do exist.
As for the rest the compression artifacts are so strong I can't reliably judge if they are AI errors or compression induced distortion.
That's not to say it isn't AI slop, but if it is, it is AI slop disguised to look like a 90s jpeg that has been resized a couple of times.

The party can still get rid of him as PM with a vote of no confidence in parliament. Folloed by a vote of confidence in the chosen successor.
I expect that if he thought that would actually happen he would be willing to step down as leader to avoid it. The trouble wold be getting him to believe, before the revolt destroys the party.

My guess is that the Crown prosecution service will drop the charges, or the judge will dismiss the case on the grounds that its not in the public intrest to have her die in prison. Too much bad publicity.

Right. There's no technical ormoral reason not to give property tax credits to owner ocupiers, but not to corporations.
The reason the wealthy and their businesses buy up all the land is because:
They have the money to do so.
They lobby the government to make sure it is profitable to do so.
They have convinced the public that private landownership is a sacred right.

It's only immoral if it's intentionally priced at a rate people can't afford. The same with all taxes. If a sales tax means people can no longer afford food, immoral. If income tax means people no longer have enough to live on, immoral. If you tax water to the point people cant afford to drink, immoral. The only reason we think about inherited land ownership as a right, is because of feudalism which benefits the wealthy the most.

lots of sources agree he is cash poor and pays most of his bills with loans leveraged on Tesla stock. He has multiple loans and I cant find any reason to believe they would all have the same margin rate, but even if 114 is the highest one breaking it could trigger a drop large enough to break other margin rates.
Multiple investment comentators have said they expect Teslas valuation to drop bellow 130 this year, from a peak of 479 so falling under 114 seems possible.

i read an interview with a disaster recovery expert who was recruited to give a talk to a bunch of the stupidly wealthy on how to survive the coming climate crisis. Prepared all this stuff about what they could do to prevent civilization collapse when global warming had caused massive world wide food shortages etc. But they weren't interested in preserving society. All they wanted to know was how to ensure staff will stay loyal and protect the wealth they had accumulated.

Europe acting together has the potential manpower and economic strength to push Putin out of Ukraine without out American help. The problem is we don't currently have the level of political, economic, or military organization in place to do so.
I don't know if we can get it together before Trump pulls all US aid to Ukraine, but it would help if all European countries kept hold of the arms they exporting to Israel.

one of the technological advantages the US had in the mid 20th century is that when the Nazis started chasing out all the intellectuals, most of them went to the US. The fact Western countries have been attracting the brightist post graduate students from around the world is one of many things that helped their universities maintain their edge. I have to wonder what effect the brain drain Trump is championing will have on American hegemony?

The best way to prevent corruptionaround fines is to have people collecting the money, not be the people who get the money.
I.e. Have city traffic officers working for a department with a fixed budget, and the fines from overtaking school buses being shared out to the districts schools.

The tories were openly corupt & until we start prosecuting MPs for corruption, even the most decent ones will asume the're above the law.
I'm not convinced Labour are even Half as bad as the tories or Farrage, but even though this is just an allegation it shows poor judgement on Starmers part for appointing her in the first place when her family was already being investigated. I have to wonder if she sought out the position in an attempt to clean her families reputation.

The real problem is not Labours Tory Lite performance is convinceing people to vote for the right, but many will so dispear that they will not vote at all.
Fortunately the UK is not quite the 2 party state the US is, but Labour do seem to be intent on following the paty of Biden and doing everything to make sure only the right wingers are inclined to vote in the next election. Starmers opposition to electoral reform shows he'll sacrifice the country for Neolibralism.

The problem with two year terms is that consultants & lobbyist end up being vastly more experienced in how the system works than the average representative, and therfore any benefit of the system you use to select the representatives is outweighed by advantages of vested intrests.
This is evidenced by the fact that state senates in the us that have greater restrictions on terms have more bills that are just sponsered, but not written by the politician that puts them forward.
