Sheryl Gay Stolberg gets it wrong again. Repeatedly describing these documents as Dr. Fauci’s “private diaries” is inaccurate and misleading.
These were not personal journals. They were government records created on a government computer by a federal employee during one of the most consequential public health emergencies in history.
Under federal law, these documents belong to the American people.
Precision matters. Stolberg’s mischaracterization has predictably fueled outrage among Democrats, who have denounced @npub1wtc…gnkr's release of Dr. Fauci’s “private diaries.”

We produced the Fauci diaries to @npub1wtc…gnkr and @npub12ge…gd4v so they could see the light of day. The starkest impression from reading the diaries is the striking contrast between what he was saying privately and what he was saying publicly.

We will find fraud. We will stop it. We will recover taxpayer dollars whenever the law permits, and we will restore integrity to the programs that millions of Americans rely on for their care.

Medicare fraud has drained taxpayer dollars for decades—but it ends now at @npub1cgq…u7xu. We are deploying cutting-edge AI to detect fraud in real time and stop fraudulent payments before they ever leave the Treasury. This year alone, we’re saving tens of billions of dollars and protecting the integrity of Medicare for the Americans who depend on it.

I joined @npub1hpg…qc34 to discuss two momentous reforms we announced last week—flipping the food pyramid to put real food first and resetting the childhood vaccine schedule to return freedom of choice to American mothers.

The [@us_fda](https://bird.makeup/users/us_fda )'s announcement on biosimilar reform furthers President Trump’s directive to lower drug prices for the American people. This bold action accelerates biosimilar development, drives market competition, expands patient options, and advances our mission to Make America Healthy Again.

No government should mandate medical choices through the water supply. If families want fluoride, they should choose it—not be forced to drink it.

The CDC once stood as the world’s most trusted guardian of public health. But bureaucracy, politicized science, and mission creep corroded its mission and destroyed public trust.
My mission is clear: restore the CDC’s focus on infectious disease, drive innovation, and rebuild trust through transparency and competence.

This is a screenshot from American Academy of Pediatrics’ webpage, thanking the organization’s top corporate donors. These four companies make virtually every vaccine on the CDC recommended childhood vaccine schedule. AAP is angry that CDC has eliminated corporate influence in decisions over vaccine recommendations and returned CDC to gold-standard science and evidence-based medicine laser-focused on children’s health.
AAP today released its own list of corporate-friendly vaccine recommendations. The Trump Administration believes in free speech and AAP has a right to make its case to the American people. But AAP should follow the lead of HHS and disclose conflicts of interest, including its corporate entanglements and those of its journal—Pediatrics—so that Americans may ask whether the AAP’s recommendations reflect public health interest, or are, perhaps, just a pay-to-play scheme to promote commercial ambitions of AAP’s Big Pharma benefactors.
AAP should also be candid with doctors and hospitals that recommendations that diverge from the CDC’s official list are not shielded from liability under the 1986 Vaccine Injury Act.

The 1986 Vaccine Act gave vaccine makers immunity against lawsuits by children who suffer vaccine injuries. The statute, and numerous subsequent court decisions, recognized that vaccines, like all medicines, are, in the words of the American Academy of Pediatrics case,

Americans pay 300 to 400 percent more than people in other countries for the exact same drug—often made in the same U.S. factory. No American should face bankruptcy over the cost of medication. I’m grateful to @npub16ez…272j for prioritizing the campaign to lower drug prices.
