Yeah, I resonate hard with this.
I am a (mostly) cis guy and okay that way, but also I like the idea of being genderfluid or even just non-binary sometimes. But I know there are others who ALWAYS struggle with being who they are and I don’t want to take away from their lived struggle by (to me and me only, mind you) cheapening their fight for their rights by using a term I don’t think I always fit under.
To be honest, I’ve been mulling it over a few months but feel like I don’t want to take oxygen or attention from our trans siblings in real danger right now and want their support to go their way.
I guess at the end of the day working towards a society that doesn’t focus on a gender binary would help make it easier for someone on the fringes of it to feel okay in being who I am day to day? I dunno. Been thinking about a lot lately.

I don’t really know why my brain is being mean tonight.
I made sure to eat/ hydrate/ caffeinate. Took all my meds at the proper times. Nothing catastrophic happened to me today.
Just my brain decided to say “fuck you” and start beating me up from the inside out.
So thanks for that, body. Really appreciate having a surprise pitfall and now just left here having to sort it all alone at night again.

My roommate drove here. He controls the keys.
And I know that if I said I was feeling bad he’d end his 40K game early because that is the kind of person he is.
Which is why I am just resting on the couch after getting sick.
He busts his ass all week and I want him to enjoy his game unencumbered.
On the plus side, the doggos come upstairs and poke at me now and then. Precious pups and there are worse ways to be drained than petting puppies.

I am so fucking tired of fighting with SNAP/Medicaid people.
“You have to renew every six months…”
Then why did I have to renew in June and in September and now being told again by first week of January?
“You signed up for this system.”
I didn’t “sign up”. I worked and paid into the social safety net system for this exact reason and while I have been fighting with disability with no income the past 3 years these services have been the only thing keeping me alive.
And on top of that, I had to file a NEW complete application in September. 3 months later and I am being told to fill it all out again.
Then when the agent got snippy with me I said I wanted to talk to their supervisor.
“You need to call your local office” and then hung up on me.
So I had to call again and sit on hold, explain the situation and I want to speak to the supervisor.
“Who did you talk to?”
He didn’t give me a name before he hung up on me, but theoretically when someone accesses data their login ID should be attached to it.
“Well it sounds like a customer service rep…”
They told me they were a caseworker. And either way it is unacceptable and I want to talk to their supervisor. AND, at the end of the day, I just want to know why I keep having to fill out a form not even 3 months after I just filled a new one out.
So fucking tired of jumping through hoops just to tread water and being looked down on like I’m some leech on the system. I fucking paid taxes (and more than fucking billionaires and corporations have), I shouldn’t have to fight a full-time job to keep benefits on top of trying to deal with chronic illness.

Yeah. No one likes rejection but it is especially hard when I already struggle with “am I just a hassle/ doing something wrong?” thoughts to fight in my low mental health times to start.

Well that’s always fun.
Go to wish a friend I was under the impression I was still on good terms with happy birthday… wake up to find, instead, I had been blocked.
No warning, no rhyme or reason. Just blocked.
Add on to it I still have a bunch of their stuff “in storage” in my closet.
And like… if that is what they want to do, I wish I had a reason because to my knowledge I hadn’t crossed a line. But would like to know what that means for their stuff (which I don’t imagine was 100% cheap and they didn’t think about that far…).
Just weird when it happens.

Hello, random bad flare-up day. I guess I had no plans other than having to go to the pharmacy and get meds.
Accomplished that, sent out a sell list of cards to pay bills, and emptied the dishwasher.
It feels so minuscule to the work my roomies do… I try to do what I can to help. And I know I shouldn’t compare, especially when they understand and have communicated they are okay with me helping as I can.
Just hard to stomp down that mentality, especially on a BAD pain day.
Trying my best but still feels like floundering.
I hope others are at least having an okay day.

So good news: I have SNAP again.
Bad news: Only for two months (one more because of how long it took to fix it) because of rules changes.
Now I have to do an entire extra packet to show I’m disabled/ working on it, again.
Whatever, I stay on top of my paperwork, just more hoops to jump through to stay with survival. Not like I don’t have enough of those already. >.>
But food support is good.
I want to thank everyone who offered to help or sent an encouraging word. I very much appreciate it, though thankfully I was able to wait it out because of foresight in being frugal.

Just remember Stone and Parker are more libertarian leaning-assholes who “don’t need a label” but then show they are just shit-stirring edge lords at best.
Even within the last year they put out a gender/race-swapped episode of the boys, if memory serves.
Not to mention their handling of characters like Garrison.

Unfortunately it was me and my roomies at a packed concert. Nowhere to go and I had already switched spots with smaller female roomie. Became a bear buffer.
And I think it messes with me because I learn the songs I love from bands so when it is different it throws me off (also not a fan when they stop singing and hold out the mic for the crowd to sing >.> I didn’t pay to listen to them =p old grump of a bear I suppose).
And though I am not huge on concerts, it it because of our music swap I learned of Nightwish, so they definitely hold a space in my heart (at least from way back!).

Sadly I have issues with concerts from the jump because I get used to a song in my head a certain way and then there are changes that happen with live music that throw me off, so sadly I don’t tend to enjoy concerts as much.
Hell, the last concert I went to I didn’t really get to enjoy because some big drunk buffoon stranger kept almost falling backwards and I had to catch them multiple times so they didn’t bust their skull open/ play babysitter so they didn’t harm anyone else. So I didn’t get to really enjoy the music/ show stuff even then ^^;
Yay being weird brain coupled with my luck. =p
What’s your favorite concert to watch, though? Are you one and done or do you have a go-to favorite?

It is never easy to see a loved one (especially a fuzzy one) pass. And it is admirable to recognize the needs of your dog and not letting them suffer for selfish reasons. It sucks bad but sometimes it is just the right call.
And the surreality of scheduling to do it complicates things even more.
As tough as it is I like to believe that they are glad to be surrounded by loved ones as they pass, just as, were the situation reversed, I would hope they would do the same for me.
And, personally, I’m glad I was there, even if I was a wreck rather than miss being there to send him off alone with strangers.
Just remember it is okay to grieve that loss, to engage it. And that there is no “one-size fits all” form of grieving.
When we put Milo down I had to keep focusing on the good he brought into our lives and celebrate his life rather than focus on the chasm left behind, but again, your grief may take a different form.
Sorry, not trying to leave a massive chunk on purpose, just want to impress upon you that it is okay if your grief is longer or shorter or just… different from others.
I am always here if you need some ears, hun.
