Heard the one about 'rape insurance'? Olivia, 18, was raped by two men during a holiday in Crete. What happened next was, in her own words, "more traumatic than the rapes". Defence lawyers accused her of 'crying rape' to claim insurance (article in reply):

Trans activists have smashed one of the large front windows of the Brighton Centre - the venue where 2500 feminists are meeting this weekend to talk about male violence, misogyny and the like. Why can't EVERYONE see this movement for what it is?

An important piece, on the horror story that is Alexander Horwood/Lynsay Watson (although they use 'she' for him throughout, which grates, obvs). The reporters have been pretty forensic here, and I am grateful for it:

I was thrown out of Pride in Surrey today (along with my producer @npub1yv7…peka) ) at the behest of the MP for Guildford, who got very defensive when I asked her about safeguarding shortcomings. We are researching the Pride in Surrey scandal for a podcast series coming soon.

Susan Brownmiller, author of the game-changer, “Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape” died yesterday, aged 90. I met her a few times, and was always staggered by her feminist intellect and commitment. Her contribution to the women's liberation movement is immeasurable.

Amnesty is a men's rights movement. Over a decade ago I discovered its internal, secret plan to push through a policy (without member consultation) to decriminalise pimping, brothel owning, and sex buying. Scumbags:

Karen is a hero. I grew up in Darlington. These are my people. This is the local hospital my family use. I feel sick to my stomach that so many men (and women) will read this and not give a toss - not change their minds one iota. Shame on the lot of them:

Anna Hall's new documentary Groomed: A National Scandal, is broadcast tonight at 9pm, C4. I saw a preview and feel sick to my stomach about the failures of every single criminal justice agency, as well as social services and health, when it came to protecting those girls and locking up the perpetrators. And it has not gone away. These men are still abusing girls today. It is shameful. Deeply so.
