“vibe coding is like quick-set cement with superglue, you can only pour and set once”. If and when you need to make any changes, it’s a complete redo, including removing what is already there.
So it’s appropriate for “closed system/laboratory” prototypes, not “open system/real world” production software systems.

I prefer intention (setup what I want & meet expectations=no waste & no rejection) over inspection (check if what is offered meets expectations=more waste & more rejection).
Producing code with AI-LLM based agents/tools (scripts/APIs masking as some kind of glorified intelligence) is akin to going into a women’s clothing store and having to try on every item (review all produced code) you want to buy for personal fit(code accuracy/security/performance) as the size indicators don’t mean anything.

I’ve “named” emotional intelligence (EI) “People Physics” with colleagues at software company to indicate that:
1. It can be understood, modeled & taught.
2. It has different set of abstraction “rules” or heuristics to be aware of e.g as “string theory” applies to quantum physics, empathy & identity applies to “people physics”.
3. It is non-linear & varies towards infinity, so can get very complicated. That is part of the landscape.

It is societally accepted that form(at) it’s packaged in-a research paper, book, journal, periodical, magazine, newspaper, etc. Within those packaged formats the content language & associated processes+practices were created, curated & reviewed by a community, usually of practitioners (guild).
Just because anything is presented on a computer, does not make it correct or authoritative.

True — it’s good to do this work collaboratively. And it’s good to leverage the kind of thinking we do alone — with the page and pen(cil) (or whatever). Collaboratively, to get other perspectives, and build common ground. Alone, to probe what we think and value.

Colima, Container runtimes on macOS (& Linux) with minimal setup - https://github.com/abiosoft/colima
Primary use case: using ephemeral containers whilst developing interactive pre/pro-totypes. I got so tired of development software putting crap all over the place in directories. Get rid of all the junk when the container is deleted, leaving only the code intact on your machine.
No, don’t need docker, k8s et al explained to me either-resist that urge. Share fav open source tool.

Designer: probably should add:
1. Loading pointer icon indicator
2.Lloading, please wait UI interaction affordance
3. UI throttle-trap to intercept repeat selects on the same control before the previous micro service requests have completed and returned their results.
Developer: Don’t need to do none of that! Any reasonable person would make the request and wait. I know (not I presume with evidenced probability of zero-0) that they won’t repeatedly select the button.

Agreed & thanks for starting this conversation. Computers are tools that should enhance & enable us, not subject us to permanent drudgery.
As a UX designer, I’m using bash scripts for fine-grained & light-weight orchestration of ephemeral OCI containers for code-fidelity, interactive prototypes/exemplars on my laptop that would grind to a halt running the extra 20-something pods required for k8s, etc e.g. https://github.com/dahukanna/scripts-DockerForFrontEnd/blob/main/dockerContainerScripts/startContainers.sh
