My bulbs are all LED. My thermostat only heats us up to 64 degrees. I WFH and never drive anywhere but the elementary school across the highway where it isn't safe to walk or bike and appointments in a town with no meaningful bus service.
I'm running out of things to cut down on. Personal responsibility *won't* get us through this, *real* corporate accountability is the way forward but the government has no interest in pro-humanity causes.

When I'm feeling charitable, I kind of think of them as a yet higher level language tier.
We still have assembly programming happening at the same time as we have Python and Blockly.
You still have to know what you're doing with Python to make it work well but without knowing asm there are some problems you won't tackle.

Console makers also aren't holding up their end of the bargain.
We gave up flexibility in exchange for guarantees of performance, stability, compatibility, etc. Now they're trying to segment into tiers with stuff like PS5 Pro while also failing to release bulletproof software.

It's not hard to see why people are discouraged. Their record makes it really difficult to convince people "this time the Democrats are definitely the better choice" when Schumer and Pelosi committed so hard to preemptive compromise for so long.

Has anyone actually used nc4nix in #NixOS to get #NextCloud stuff set up?
Their site has *zero* documentation and other pages point me to it as *the* tool for setting up NextCloud apps. I don't understand how the go-to utility can have zero documentation and still be the go-to.
It made me set an environment variable with my NextCloud version before it would even run and now that it is running, I have no idea what it's actually trying to do.

Working with CoPilot is like having a pair programmer who is wildly insane, didn't read the project documents and may or may not be a spy.

Demo yesterday explicitly told us to turn off GitHub CoPilot any time we're working with PHI, PII or any other kind of officially sensitive info.
My work is *entirely* data driven.
There is no robust test platform, no dummied up claim data, nothing to support us in avoiding real data for testing and development.
