Caught somebody throwing a laptop away in a skip. I suggested I install Linux on it and give it a life again. They were not interested. Here it is, added 8GB RAM to it and it works perfectly. Ok it isn’t the fastest laptop, but it’ll do the basics that most need. #ubuntu #linux

that’s so amazingly kind of you. I’d love to. I’m currently watching a documentary made by Small Town Monsters. On the Trail of UFOs. They did a similar documentary called On the Trail of Bigfoot. Oddly I stopped watching both on the subjects, but started watching them to see the gorgeous scenery. The Appalachian range looks stunning.

Just seen a post over on Bluesky asking if anyone is on #Mastodon in the replies someone said "Mastodon never really took off" If Mastodon never really took off I would not be paying money to host my own server. Mastodon for me is where I prefer to be. I also pointed out maybe try using hashtags when over here as they work brilliantly here.

Hello thank you for reaching out. The update notes don’t read that way to me. Can you explain exactly what “enhanced insight” means via an update. To me enhanced insight is fluffy words for how who when where. In the beta do you use our contacts data too? We don’t get to opt out of much as beta.

What does @npub1nwk…dgjz mean by “enhanced insights to help us understand how you use the app” that seems a bit creepy and like it’s using more of our private data and tracking etc … #OpenVibe #TestFlight needs to show us what betas are accessing, just like the AppStore does.

it’s going to get much worse over there when he gets that role in trumps cabinet too. Agreed it’s definitely nicer over here, lots of support for all here. It’s why I decided to go all in a self host. I’ll always have here no matter. Threads and BlueSky are ok, time will tell, but I’ll alway be here :)

I’ve had 3 emails. Can’t reset the password via the app. Version 2 of the build had reset password in it, never worked. Latest version doesn’t give you the option. We’re supposed to be testing the TestFlight so you’d expect it all to be doable via the TestFlight releases @npub1xsv…q6he @npub1wa2…zalq @npub13xu…gtpu

nope I’m on the latest TestFlight version it doesn’t work. Can’t log in can’t request a password reset.
Keeps telling me a variation of user doesn’t exist and credentials don’t work.
