Have a decent list of YT videos with Ishihara Junko (mostly known for enka). All taken down except this one. Can still find many videos with her. Apart from the masterful (imho) singing, the "duetl" with the flute is not very contrapunctual, or a dialogue. It is more like two voices that sometimes blend, sometimes seem to speak on their own. Like two birds in flight. Well, that's my amateur hearing of it :p

@nprofile…jdwz In ads, if there is a mixed skin color couple, the man is darker than the woman 90% of the time. It's been like that for a long time. Like they want to say something. Ad agencies these days seem often intent on sending a message rather than selling a product. As for swedish ads they often picture swedish men as idiots or just pathetic. Sometimes it reminds me of humiliation television, like putting some losers on an island to survive.

Now ppl in their 30s get them. otoh, I also heard older ppl (like me, well not very old..) who swore by them before but in recent years stopped taking them. But the prop for them is still strong. Here in Sweden, covid shots are still promoted, but not sure how many really take them.
