I’ve felt a lot of feelings in my life, but theres only one that is indescribable - how it feels to walk out into some dirt where you planted seeds months ago, and pick your dinner.

thanks! Wow so you’re. Pretty much done for the year now? I’m in 6a or 6b - right on the line. My peas and beans have taken really taken off in the last few weeks because of the cold.

what a great summary!! What zone are you located in?
I’ve heard so many people saying to plant squash after the squash bug is done reproducing for the year, and this year I did just that with surprisingly good results.
I’ve let my yard go a bit more wild than usual this year because of health reasons, so other than mowing the lawn I haven’t planted much other than some old beans and squash seeds I had laying around. Whatever else has volunteered, though, I let stay. The critters have been loving it all, and I occasionally get a random tomato or string bean.
My raspberries took OFF this year, after 3 years of growing maybe a foot a year and producing zero berries. I have to cut it back because the branches outgrew the terrace for it. I think neglect is the key for these guys too.

My yard is so confused this year. It’s frustrating, but life goes on I guess. The plants that ARE flowering, are not happy about it. I must have tried 10,000 different seeds this year, literally, with some chaos gardening in mind, but barely any have made it to flowers. thank you for identifying that purple plant! I let part of the yard go wild this year due to arm injury, and came across some of this for the first time. It’s really cool looking - sort of fern- like. Now I’m glad I left it!

I discovered the same problem in my garden tonight. :(
