now I had to check my collection :) it seems like in my case Cyrillic and Japanese characters work fine

My searches for a music server for my collection (inevitably) led me to Jellyfin https://jellyfin.org/. So far I like it better than Owntone, although the android apps I tried so far feel a little clunky, but it's much better then trying to find what supports DAAP apart from iTunes circa 2010

yeah, I've registered on gravitons ganico a couple of days ago, but I think my account wasn't approved yet. and I didn't want to add it anonymously as I still don't have the link.
I was thinking about using basspistol peertube for it, but it seems like there might be issues with it, so now I'm thinking about backup plan. idk, might end up on twitch in the end

ok, here's the (semi)official announcement: this Monday I'll be showing my live modular setup on a stream, so if you are interested in how modular synths work, feel free to join. There'll be a chat, so you can ask questions, and we can discuss how stuff works, and maybe try some patch ideas together :)
I'm still figuring out some technical stuff for the stream, so there's no link yet, so watch this space
*and of course, Monday is January 27 not 25 😅

yeah, I just realized that I subconsciously avoid ListenBrainz because many many years ago one of their tools messed up all the meta data in my itunes library, lol. I think I should give it another go

it's not like I'm actually trying too hard to scrobble everything :) I've just set it up who-knows-when on my laptop and I remember that I have it about twice a year

with all the end-of-the-year "...wrapped" buzz I decided to check my last.fm (yeah, yeah, I know) to check what I've been listening to this year. and to me it looks like a perfect "back in the day they used to make good music, not the shit that they do today" selection. Now I feel old and grumpy
