Depending on your device you can put all messages from unknown senders and spam into separate categories. This way you don't get bothered with notifications.
When I get these I also add the number to my block list and like you mentioned, report them as spam.

Dear Mastodon Developers, In the future if someone quotes a post from someone I've blocked, can the system please not even show me the quote post?
If I've blocked an account, I don't ever want to see anything from that account at all. Hiding it and giving me the option to show anyway defeats the entire purpose of my block in the first place.

Yeah, I've no real expectations. Though I would gather many authors who are owed money will eventually have some form of lawsuit/class action.

It would be helpful if you could share a contact from the 'administrator' or entity that deals with bankrupt companies. I think you and everyone who pre-ordered a copy has a claim. I don't know how these things work in the UK, but when companies go bankrupt in the US, creditors sometimes get paid. I think unfulfilled orders should be compensated.

For the first time ever I was required to log-in to youtube in order to watch the South Park PSA from last week to determine my 'age'. Zero clue how they did that just by my log-in. I recently re-read the the first book and the episodes are pretty much structured like each chapter. Yes, a little different, but after tonight's episode, I felt I got the pace they are trying for. LOVE IT!!

Before I knew I would resubscribe to Max for the #tennis, I read the book Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. Its good! So, Max has the movie based on novel, Mickey17, and I watched it.
The movie was fine. Fun characters and acting. However, it did not follow the book when it came to specific premises. Sigh. Missed opportunities that I don't get why the changes were made. Oh well.
If you are a fan of the book, the movie may disappoint you.

Serious question.
Was Max waiting to the last lap to take the required pit-stop, his/Red Bull's way of being a total dick? To what end did that so called strategy serve? He couldn't have won, so did he just purposely slow everyone down and fuck it up for other's podium possibilities?

Reading 'Life in the Pitlane' by Calum Nicholas. It is about his journey to and time in #F1. It is really interesting. Lots of fun 'inside baseball' stuff. So far he's shared insight to how someone interested in pursuing an F1 non-driving career can plan a path. (STEM!!!!)
Also there are sad undertones of racism. He hasn't called out any specific incident yet, but mentions how he had to strive to work harder, faster, better than his classmates.

You are correct. However nowadays when we say "they can't" do something because of the law, that no longer has meaning. If you think 'they can't', know that they will anyway. They don't care. Yes, there are a ton of law suits to try to stop them, but none of them are settled yet. Folks, this is really REALLY bad. This has nothing to do with drug cartels or money laundering. This is how they are going to target and identify immigrants. People sending money home or receiving these small amounts will have their names and addresses submitted to FinCEN on the CTR's.
This is probably just a test since it is limited to 30 zip codes, but that will absolutely be expanded across the US. I'm not being hyperbolic about this. /1

I recommend you pay very close attention at check-out as the option seems to come and go. Not sure what is going on with them.

I've also written to bookshop.org about this. I am guessing this all has to do with saving your credit card information for future purchases. I've since deleted my payment information. Yes, it will be annoying to have to re-enter it, but I'd rather do that than do business with Link. I've asked bookshop.org to confirm this because if this is going to happen each time I make a purchase, I won't be making any in the future.

The emails I was getting from link were asking me to validate my identity and complete the set-up of my account. Since I never wanted it, I did not click on anything. Instead I had to go to Link's site and find a way to contact them. There website said to delete your account you had to log in. Since I never set-up an account I had to fill out a form to get them to delete my account. They were pretty responsive.

I had previously stored my cc for payment in my account at bookshop.org. I had to update it yesterday. Apparently when I updated and stored it again - that is when Link became involved. It was not obvious what would happen. There was no disclosure my information would be shared with a third party. There was no notice I would be asked to set up an account with Link.

Heads up about bookshop.org
They changed something on their back-end for processing payments. I made a purchase yesterday and updated my credit card info. Suddenly I started to receive emails from a company called LINK that welcomed me to my new account and to finish setting up my profile.
WTF? There was no notice.
I didn't ask for this, nor do I want this. It is also a convoluted process to get Link to now remove all my personal data.

This is what my trackers show me about bluesky. It is mainly adblock plus, but that extension does not show the details. Duck duck go does identify third party trackers but they go back to bluesky I think.

I've noticed the sound of flights/planes/helicopters has been more frequent. That tracker will show what has flown over the area, but it is delayed. I just had a loud plane/helicopter go over and I'm waiting to see it on the map.

The most common view I've seen (and I disagree) is Mastodon/Fedi is too hard to figure out.
Which doesn't make sense because over on bsky, everyone is just as confused. However, all the very popular deadbird people are there. Without the celebs Mastodon/Fedi won't get the volume.
I like the quite/normalcy here. Over there it is wild with endless politics.
