The strongest song on Pixel Grip's album Percepticide is, of course, Stamina.
But it's clear to me that the emotional core of Crow's Feast is the reason it's the first track. I read it as someone who the character thought was a friend, but just wanted to fuck her, then dug in to further manipulation to try to make her want it back.
It's too unremarkable to be fiction. I'd guess this is a thing most women experience, but I have too, and I can't recommend the experience.

I was in a game store ~2007 and someone figured out who I was and rushed up to me and told me how seen they felt about my treatment of gender in Shock:Social Science Fiction.
You can’t make art based on what people tell you because most of the time, they don’t tell you anything or aren’t the audience. You just make it, then set it free.

@nprofile…vqle Today was a completely mechanical repair. But these are my favorite cans (Sony MD 7506) and I have three pair, which become two actually working pair. I’ve combined all the working electronics with all the working mechanicals.
The donor actually has a Bluetooth receiver I built into it, but it sounds absolutely awful so that one will get redone when I find a better Bluetooth module.

I was talking about my new Cyberpunk RPG in our local Android's Dungeon around 1988. The owner introduced me to my immediate new best friend, Myles.
We'd go scour magazine stores together for bOING bOING, Mondo2000 and whatever was being xeroxed by RISD students. When the cover promised something by @nprofile…7j9y or Rudy, it would go under the arm immediately.
This was a Cyberpunk of HOPE.
We can find new ways to be people.

My family went to an international bookstore & I went to the sci fi section.
I picked out Software. It had a direct impact on me. I studied Artificial Life in college, wrote about it, made RPGs about it.
2 years later, I learned it was part of a literary movement called "Cyberpunk".

I think in somehow underpowering it. Because I just tried one of those crap RPi mice and it worked for a second and then stopped with an undervolt message. But this is a power supply that powers laptops all the time, and the screen is currently on another power circuit.
This calls for making dinner and watching Babylon 5 with my partner.

Hey, has anyone had issues with a #raspberrypi that can’t see USB devices other than a keyboard? I couldn’t get a touchscreen to work, but then I tried another touchscreen and a Ploopy and they don’t show in lsusb either.
Related? I’m getting undervolt/overcurrent warnings, despite having two 35W power supplies running Pi and monitor.
Mouse on USB is suuuper slow but fine on Bluetooth.

#hagiwo #modularsynth #synthdiy #eurorack How frustrating. The #Arduino Nanos that I’m using (three varieties) don’t work in MacOS or Ubuntu. Old IDE doesn’t fix it. Reinstalling CH34n drivers either doesn’t work — can’t compile or it gives no feedback whether it’s really installed with their shitty installer.
I’ve cranked out dozens of gadgets that used these. And now I can’t flash them at all.

Ok, at least I got the soldering done (though I’ve marked a lot of places I’m suspicious of on the board) and I got the faceplate done on this #hagiwo #modularsynth

But this module uses an #Arduino Nano and I can’t get any of mine to flash. (Classic “sync” error) so I can’t see if it delays and loops.
I’m going to bed. I’ll flash it from my Linuc tomorrow and see if that changes anything.

@nprofile…en2w Ugh. My Zoom recorder apparently paws through every bit on the SD card when it boots.
If I had a 1G SD card in there, I'd be able to store close to 10 hours of audio.
I never need that. I need a few hours, tops.
But the smallest I can find that works is 32G. It takes something like 4 minutes to boot because of the big SD card.
Smaller capacity ones seem to be factory rejects and sold as a fraud you're unlikely to bother returning because they're so cheap.

It turns out Autechre is mind-bendingly incredible live.
All dark so there are no egos in the club.
Sound so rich you’re rocking back and forth, exploring it.
Bass so deep it massages your organs with drums sometimes played at audio frequencies.

I loved the keyboards when they were introduced. I thought that design decision was so cool. But then I saw how they failed, and I'm amazed that there's one that still works. Is the hinge still hinging?
