Absolutely! The public AI content detectors are good enough to find many of those, as they are extremely low quality, have a big data sample and are even built in a similar way. As there does not seem to be any regulation by Google, Governments etc. this will have to be done by the open source community again?

You’d think that, with everything we know about #PFAS, governments would lower the limits, right?
Think again. When the #foreverchemicals limit (TFA here) is too strict for corporations in #Germany, they can simply have it raised twentyfold!
Worse yet, this doesn’t seem to faze the German #government #environmental agency, as the corporation wanted an even higher increase 🤣
Maybe corporations should just run the #Umweltbundesamt? 😜

1984 mass #surveillance is a constant threat everywhere. I was also surprised by the extent of it in #Germany, especially given the number of #privacy advocates in the country.

Most of the mastodon.social #botnet we recently confirmed is still intact.

The #reports specifically mentioned that they are part of a larger botnet, to no effect.
#Mastodon #software seems to be great at automatically detecting obvious botnets, like the first example while struggling with #AI generated, higher-quality profiles.
