1 sat payments are not spam.
A lightning address resolves to a URL that gives you a BOLT11 invoice. This invoice will be paid in the ideal case. Or it won't be paid for different reasons.
So we cannot know if there is a real payment intent behind a invoice request.

Payments to lightning addresses create an increased load on our server infrastructure, because of the high payment frequency in podcasting. That makes it difficult for us to reliably distinguish between spam and legitimate traffic, so some requests may get blocked accidentally.

Do you plan to receive boosts and boostagrams?
That requires a public channel unfortunately.
Alby Hub -> Node -> Open Channel -> Click on "Advanced Options" to select a public channel -> Optional select another peer (e.g. LNServer has the lowest rates) -> Open Channel

Martin, we offer personal onboarding sessions for Alby Hub. We answer any questions there from on-ramp to migration and PC2.0 value tags. They are quite fun and afterwards you are good to run yourself.

Migrations currently only work between Alby Hubs that are both based on LDK.
Migrating from Alby Cloud (LDK) to Start9 (LND) is not yet supported, unfortunately.

We are currently working on a new Hub release with cool updates before we get to the pricing.
We plan to adjust it in two steps. 1) account for the recent price increase and reduce the price for Alby Cloud
2) switch from BTC denomination to USD denomination
But did you get our email last month? We distributed a 50% discount link to everybody who already uses Alby Hub longer than 3 months.

Cool demo!
Just to add and hopefully avoid any misunderstanding
- the cited Podcasting 2.0 LNAddress Value Spec. is just a lookup spec to initiate a keysend payment
- Alby Accounts can be connected via OAuth today
- Nostr Wallet Connect already supports PC2.0 keysend payments today.
Would love to see it reflected on the page.

Yes. Alby Hub is available as FOSS and you can use it for free on your own desktop. No additional node needed. Alby Hub already has a node integrated.
Would love to learn what makes it hard to run so that we can work on it.

Conshax back then started an initiative based on the LSAT protocol that embeds paid content into public podcast feeds which can be accessed by sending keysend payments. It works for any RSS-based listener app.

Congrats on winning the artwork.
I am sorry. There is no progress on the filter, yet.
You could you use the export functionality in your Alby account but then you get a not so nice looking csv file to filter.

That's possible. You can open a channel to the podcastindex node and send all sats out of this channel (e.g. by spending them) This increases your receiving capacity of this channel. As a consequence you have a channel to a custom node partner with receiving capacity.
But that's a bit of work. That's why we added LSPs that sell you channels and increase your receiving capacity. It works in a few clicks or can even be automated in your Hub.

The channel opening works from one side only - your Alby Hub in this case.
Once the payment channel is opened and active, payments work bidirectionally. You can send and receive through the same channel.

You already have receiving capacity with the first channel we opened by default.
Opening a channel to podcastindex is good to connect your Hub better. 👍
1) Deposit at least 200,000 sats via an onchain transaction to your Hub (the more the better)

The HTTP API is just a helper if you don't want to deal with websockets.
You can also communicate directly over a relay with the wallet.

But we would like that people upgrade to Alby Hub, a very easy to use self-custodial wallet. Everything that you know from Alby (lightning address, SATurn.fly.dev, etc.) keeps working.

This is an early Alby Labs project!
What happens? I am using my own Alby Hub and its integrated lightning node to host wallets for others.
I connected my Alby Hub to the Alby Jim app and people can automatically create a wallet on my Hub.
Everybody with an own Hub can be a host.
This is a trusted setup!

Existing apps can send users to getalby.com who can signup for an Alby account without invite codes. That was the exception.
Pre July users can also keep their managed balance at Alby.
All new users start with Alby Hub, the new self-custodial lightning wallet.
You should try it and works well with podcasting 2.0. Let me send more infos.

Some of the obvious things to check are that you might have already done: Is the budget big enough for your Alby Account? Could you reconnect your Alby Account to LNBeats?

You can connect various wallets and nodes to the Alby Extension (that's on one of your screenshots). That's mainly for sending sats on websites.
You can also link your own node/wallet link with your Alby Account and receive payments in a self-custodial way. That's how ChadF did it. It works with all NWC enabled wallets: Umbrel, Start9, Mutiny, Alby Hub LDK, Alby Hub LND.

Greenlight per se is a “node as a service” (i.e. a set of nodes operated on a server space by one company (Blockstream)). You’ll need to open at least one payment channel to be able to send. There are no natively integrated LSPs. You could do an onchain deposit and open a channel.

Alby Accounts are available for everybody. Only if you don't have an Alby Account yet and you are from the US, you will need to use the new self-custodial wallet.
Existing users from the US can keep using their existing Alby Account as always.
Alby does not block any payments.
If you are missing payments, let's check that.
