Ok, Legoland Germany after an afternoon there: if this wasn't #Lego themed the lines wouldn't be so bad and the park would feel rather small. I feel like I was in bigger amusenent parks with less lines before, but here waiting in line for half an hour to have a short ride drags out the experience.
Also: lots of advertisement for other brands. Hyundai seems to sponsor parts, there's ads for Hipp baby food on lego builds, etc.

started rewatching Land of the Lost yesterday, which actually seems to be free on youtube. The special effects are just as pathetic as I remember, but the whole "Land of the Lost" setting gives great vibes for a #dnd subsetting: some pocket dimension that used to be an artificially created pathway to all kinds of places, but right now just traps random beings from all over the multiverse

Prices also fluctuate drastically for the same product. I might find a pedal I saw for 47pln (unmarked), or for 150pln (with "branding"), but it's clear the only thing they changed was the case and what they printed on.

shopping on AliExpress is a bit like being in a weird little parallel world. It's clear that the products I am looking for (guitar pedals and other related stuff) is all produced by the same people, and yet there are multiple brands around that look different... but not different enough. They even put "different" manufacturers' sample videos up, and might deliver the wrong color of the same thing.

While I managed to get #uucp working with four different remote machines and now am happily exchanging emails and news with all of them, one system still eludes me: my humble Linux notebook.
And I am not quite sure why that is. By all accounts I should have no issue making a uucp connection to my server at all. In fact I make a connection and then it times out.
Why though?
Unknown. No errors in the logs, and the server doesn't even register the attempt.
Something seems borked.

so, #shadowrun today: this time more or less successful, although I was happy they needed to cut it shorter than planned in the end. I had calculated with them planning how to do their road trip though the council, only for them to start immediately.
Unlike what I thought might happen they did not try to open the black box with the macguffin immediately. which is nice. ]

ugh, we had another session 0 (sort of) yesterday, where we argued about my new character, and the two before which did not win the others' fancy.
It still is bugging me, because I put multiple hours of work into both, when I just clicked together basically a stock archetype this time.
and they were complaining that you can only create cookie cutter characters with the SR3 priority system, but when I use it it's all of a sudden too far out.

Had to take both kids to my 7yo's logopaedics today. Packed some additional food and water and snacks so we can have a small picnic in the allotment garden later. My 5yo even took it downstairs with him.

speaking about weird people trying to chat me up on discord, I just remembered that one guy who went around German-speaking AIM chatting up people, presenting an elaborate spiel that ended with him telling people how he liked to kick puppies to death.
he seemed irritated when he got me on my secondary account and I was interrupting his story all the time.
