To be clear...
The fact that Texas is not allowed to see pornhub is probably the funniest thing ever.
VPN services are going to sharply spike up so places like NordVPN might clear some cash. (Short the downside when everyone figures out the free versions and they come up short on earnings in two quarters)
Texans should not tolerate such massive overreach. Texans should specifically protect their rights. They should get very loud and very vocal. Abbott clearly doesn't understand fully mobilized groups of pissed off people angry at him.
I hope they show him.

@npub1hgr…2e7r I'm very disappointed as she sometimes gets very skittish in this new place. I was hopeful it would give her some "downtime".
She's not so skittish as to be unhealthy, but I figured it didn't hurt to try? :blobcatgiggle:
This is my first adult who didn't feel the effects. Unfortunate.

My kitty is immune to kittyweed.
I am so sad for her. :(
I bought her a little pouch of catnip and just put it on the ground. Even 'crushed the flowers to activate the aroma' and everything.
It's been 10minutes and she hasn't asked to play Xbox, gotten a snack, tried to borrow my phone to talk shit to dog down the street... nothing.
She's just hanging out. Not even like... *chill* hanging out.

A young and destitute Alex was roaming the alleyways of Mastodon and the Fediverse. A recent Twitter refugee, I was sleeping in dumpsters and eating out of the trashcans of social media. It was raining, cold, dark, and a very scary place.
With my hoodie up over my ears and my headphones blasting Violent Femmes in a very non-sequitur soundtrack... I had heard sweet music on the air.
Shouldering through the meme'rs and other Twitter refugees, I saw a light shining brightly through the crowd. Making my way across the chasms and trollbait sections of the Fediverse I came upon a small little picture of perhaps a Native American women.
This avatar was *very* angry, and I watched as she used her keyboard to climb into a white-man patriarchst who was spewing nonsense and I watched as he simply came undone.
She smirked as I stared jaw agape and sweetly signed my autograph when I held my hand out dumbly. I began following her and she was nice enough to follow me. I've sat back and watched in awe as this force of nature erupts from the keyboard to deliver some of the most eloquently worded fucks I've ever heard.
Please don't take that racist for more than what they are. Shades erupting in the corners from your light. The second you fully notice them they will burn to ash, unnoticed and beneath your gaze once again.

Many years ago, almost more than I want to admit, I was on the phone with a very angry person.
I worked in a CSR role, handling customer complaints about various products. It was a terrible job that paid exceptionally well and allowed me to utilize my people skills.
I have a few personal quirks. Some of them are useful, some of them are less than useful. One of the more useful quirks is my confidence in self.
I'm not afraid of you, I'm very difficult to intimidate.
One day, a police officer was on my phone. He had a problem with his purchase and he felt compelled to abuse someone about it.
I explained that the policy was against him and he wouldn't be able to move forward. He complained and threatened to file a lawsuit. I politely explained that his original threat of a lawsuit is what prompted my call and that I wanted to make sure he understood the situation.
He did not. He persisted in threatening to sue me personally, sue the company I worked for, just really make his point. So he could properly sue me, he explained that he needed and was legally authorized to know my full name and physical address. (Remember how I said he was a police man?)
I chuckled slightly at his overreach and calmly explained that would literally never happen. To be fair, I shouldn't have chuckled. It was slight, it wasn't cruel... but it was wrong.
He then threatened my safety and my life. He used language that made it clear he was unwilling to reaction rationally and I froze his accounts with the legal warnings and forwarded him to the security team.
A few months later, I was informed they had pursued charges against him. My audio recordings were being used to protect others from people like him.
Whenever I see threats like the one Donald Trump made against the #DOJ -- I think about those months.
This is a very dangerous and unserious person. He should not be allowed to walk free with public access to resources if this is how he spends his time.
