[](https://www.accessibility.org.au/setting-up/ )There’s some really great accessibility research being done at work right now looking into how people experience [visually rich stories of the kind I work on](https://www.abc.net.au/news/interactives ). (Hopefully I can share it publicly when the time is right.)
It continues to surprise me that so few people who could benefit from them know about operating system level accessibility controls like reduce motion and colour modifications.
Supporting them should be standard practice (we work hard at this and there’s always more to do!), but it’s increasingly clear we can’t rely on the audience to use them and so also have an educational role to play.
