A little story from today.
My ex was telling me her dad and her haven't been talking because he went full Zionist when she posted something to FB about the genocide in Gaza. She gave back as good as she got, which I expected, and apparently he's gone ahead and sent the kids some Easter Eggs without saying anything.
She thanked him, and he just ghosted her. Typical arsehole.
Later in the day, I was at The Bead Shop and had to make up $10 for an EFPOS transaction. I found some pairs of watermelon earrings. I bought a small set (for my daughter) and a bigger set (for my ex).
I called her and said "Guess what? I got you some earrings for an Easter photo to post to FB".
She is going to put "Happy Easter" "from the river to the sea" on it.
I laughed and said "Good thing Commissioner Bush has said he has no intention to ban that phrase"

yeh, my mum was the same way. She lives on the 3rd floor, and she struggles with that. I still remember her being trapped half way up Angkor Wat, or in our hotel room in Pattaya, or my numb legs when we'd fly on the Twin Otter between Newcastle and Sydney. She suffers deeply from vertigo/fear of heights.
Kind of glad I was never offered a tower apartment, or she'd never be able to visit

from my understanding, from my Turkish ex-brother-in-law is the type of sardine matters, especially for fresh. I'm not usually a fan, but he got some frozen Turkish sardines in, cooked them over a fire, and we smashed them. Even my 3-year-old daughter (at the time) ate like 5.

I did some grazing food for dinner, and made the kids one of my favourite dishes: Camembert fondue.
Take a wheel of French Camembert with a wooden box, punch slits in the cheese with a knife, stick raw garlic slices/whole in the slits, sprinkle parsley, thyme, and chives on top, drip just enough wine on top to wet it, stick it in the oven.
About half way to melted, drip some more wine on top, just to get a nice flavour.

Not plugging a company, but giving my honest experience with Crumpler.
I've owned a Crumpler Mild Enthusiast for about 13 years, it's been through thick and thin, held multiple different cameras, lenses, gaming consoles, etc. I've loved it to death. The seams were starting to fail, and finally, the zipper started to fail a few weeks ago.
I knew it was terminal, but just ignored it until I had "time". Well, it made time, the zipper broke at Pride Party. Luckily it wasn't while I was out, just at a regular home pit stop.
I took it in to the "bag spa" they have in town, it used to be just down on Gertrude, but they moved.
The girl immediately said "yeh, we can fix all that, and it'll be under warranty".
Lesson, get a well made bag from a company that respects its customers and you'll never need another
