I am well aware of all of that. I am just asking the rest of the world to acknowledge that a great many of us *did* vote for the other candidates and we *have been* fighting Trump's regime every way we can think of. We're marching in protests, we're hounding our representatives, we're having the difficult conversations with family members & friends, we're teaching our children to stand firm against fascism no matter what, we're still voting even though it feels pointless....

I think I want to move my blog from Wordpress to Ghost.
From what little I've researched thus far, Ghost seems to have good tools for accomplishing this.
But I am utterly unversed in the ways of The Programmer and ignorant of 99.99% of technical jargon.
I also have ADHD and ***loathe*** new user interface. (One of the reasons I want to leave Wordpress is that the UI has become revolting over the past few years.)

Even though I alraady knew the tragic ending of Weil's too-brief life...

By Grabthar's Hammer, I am so unutterably sick of the color white EVERYWHERE during the past 10 years or so. I blame Apple. It's an aesthetic that goes along with the gray & beige trend for interior walls & floors. It's sterile and boring and reflects a society-wide obsession with the illusion of alleged "purity" and I hate it.
Also, I never heard of Pantone before this article. Considering that I'm an artist, I think that says something about Pantone's overall significance.

This morning, having finished the last available #audiobook (nr.7) of #DungeonCrawlerCarl, and against my better judgment, I decided to give STAR TREK: KHAN a chance. I resolved to listen to the first episode all the way through no matter how bad it was.

Welp. They got me again.
Last night, I heard for the first time about the audio drama series #StarTrekKhan, which tells the story of Khan's colony after the Enterprise leaves them all on Ceti Alpha V.
I was skeptical. The treatment of Khan in #StarTrekIntoDarkness left me leery of any use of the character beyond Ricardo Montalbán's portrayals. (I adore Benedict Cumberbatch, but that was an awful miscast, and the "John Harrison" plotline was bullshit.)

I've only been playing #Minecraft for just over 2 years. Does that mean I'm still a noob? I dunno. But I have a world, "Tawand A's Realm," that I think of as my #ForeverWorld -- my first one, anyway. I'll stick with it as long as I can, at least until it crashes and I lose all but the first ~6mos of play. ~Six mos in is when the system started telling me it can't save to the cloud anymore. So if it crashes locally, it's gone.

And by altered, I mean worsened.

If, like me, you grew up immersed in conservative, evangelical, historically-Protestant Christianity,
you're familiar with the "Old Testament" scriptures (in Leviticus, Jeremiah, 1 & 2 Kings [more?]) referencing "Moloch."
In context, the ancient Israelites are being warned to stop sacrificing children either to a god named Moloch or in a ritual called Moloch.

I am so sorry for the loss of your family photos. That just breaks my heart.
Both of my grandmothers were genealogy hobbyists. So is my mother. They passed that love of family history on to me. Old family photos are very much a part of tracing our history. I always loved sitting with my grandmas, looking through the old albums with them. They each made separate albums for each of their children, albums that went to my parents, aunts, and uncles when their parents died.

I grew up in Germany with US-American citizenship. I was on US military bases on a nearly daily basis. We were always told that when you set foot on a US military base, you are stepping onto US-American soil. Born on a US military base to at least one US-American parent? You're a US citizen.

Today is #Juneteenth, the US-American federal holiday commemorating and celebrating June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned that the Emancipation Proclamation had freed them 2 1/2 years earlier.

Y'ALL.
I just got home from the #NoKings protest in #OKC.
Early numbers reports and a statement from the rally podium say THIS WAS THE BIGGEST PROTEST IN #OKLAHOMA HISTORY.
It was gorgeous.
We marched for about 1.2 miles to the rallying point outside City Hall. This took about 30 min.
Spouse & I were with 5 friends (3 more joined us later). By the time we had been at the rallying point for 20 min, the marchers further back WERE STILL COMING.
Literally every flavor of human represented.
