Maybe we should return to subsistence farming, and keep the kids out working in the fields all day. Healthy near-vegan diet ; plenty of sunshine and vigorous exercise ; daily floggings to boost morale. Less rickets and more stoop-labour to put a bend in the spine.
Can we also bring back TB, and 50% first-year mortality rates?

Mass of the electron, or ratio of [typical] hadron to [stable] lepton?
Intuitively, I suspect the ratio is more important.
But my maths isn't up to the level to calculate it.
