This is a pretty bad take, tbh. The sociopathy rate is like 2%. To within a rounding error, everyone on every side of any political issue wants to leave a better world for their kids and grandkids. However fiercely we may disagree about what a better world looks like, or how to get there, if your starting assumption is 'the other side doesn't even love their own children', it reads less like a good faith effort to understand the world than a cynical exercise in dehumanizing the outgroup.
The absolute irony is that "they don't even care about their own daughters' lives except as some kind of purity-symbol." Is probably exactly the kind of boomer propagan the warhawks are sending each other on facebook.

I will never understand the obsession with 'gun deaths'.
The 20 years after the gun buyback had more deaths in Australia (in total and per capita) from 'mass casualty events' than the 20 years preceeding port Arthur. It's true that before the gun buyback, they were mostly (but not exclusively) perpetrated with firearms, and after the buyback they rarely (though not 'never', as the cathedral often claims) were committed with firearms. But why does anyone care *how* mass violence is committed?

Traditional gas stations aren't well suited to ev charging for a variety of reasons. If EV charging demand was anticipated by the market, you'd see them crop up where people will park for an appreciable amount of time, like at restaurants and parking structures.
Regardless, biden tried to end-run the market process with $7.5B allocated for new charging stations in 2021, but the money came with so much red tape and DEI hoops to jump though that by the time he left office they had completed iirc 7.

The point is to compare the tone and substance of the articles. The point is to demonstrate that Wikipedia is trash when it comes to anything remotely political.

China has had a 2MW proof of concept plant operational since 2021 and is currently building a 10MW plant.
Meanwhile India completed their prototype 500MW thorium plant last December.
Since 1978 only 2 new uranium reactors have come online in the US, I'm not sure we have very much experience with it 🤷‍♀️

Uranium is a terrible fuel. We only use it for power so we could have an alternative weapons pipeline.
They built and tested 2 separate Thorium salt reactors at Oakridge for use in airplanes, but scrapped the technology when it was determined there was no way to produce plutonium from the decay chain. They would rather cancel the whole nuclear plane program than introduce a safer nuclear power technology that *couldn't* be repurposed for weapons.

I don't know what you mean by "ok". I was not a kirk fan, I don't endorse his statements, I characterized them as "unkind, acerbic, crass, and demeaning", I'm not sure how more forcefully I could express my personal disdain for some of his commentary. As distasteful as I found them though, they were no justification for his cold-blooded murder, or for celebration of his cold-blooded murder.
As for government force, I assume you're referring to pam bondi. As far as I'm aware, she was universally lambasted by all quarters of the right for trying to invoke "hate speech". I am not aware of any appreciable number of folks on the right who want anyone put in jail for their ghoulish tiktoks or social media posts.
As far as "cancel culture" goes, there is a very big difference between dredging up a years old off-color joke someone made on Twitter and starting a social media pile-on to get them fired over it, and people not wanting lunatics who have just publicly announced that they think they would be more than justified in murdering approximately half of the US population walking around the office behind them with access to scissors. I don't begrudge any co-worker of anyone celebrating a political assassination telling HR about that liability issue. Though I do find the website and doxx sleuthing to be very cringe. I get the turnabout is fair play thing, but I'm more of a rise above it guy myself.

While virtually everyone admits Charlie was generally cordial and respectful to folks at his live events, he often had a more acerbic and crass attitude on his podcast. The handful of quotes of his being circulated as particularly damning are either misquotes or taken out of context, however he did make jokes in bad taste and say unkind and even demeaning things about democrats, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, and affirmative action beneficiaries. I was not a listener to his show, these are just some examples I have heard for myself since his death while investigating the allegation against him.
William's view is that kirk was 'spreading hate', and 'hate' leads to 'hate crimes' e.g., violence against minorities and democrats. Ergo: kirk was 'endangering' people with his mean words; Q.E.D.

What exactly do you expect these lawyers to advise though?
A. Spend a ton of money to implement a one-off system that would probably be fine legally, but you never know until it's litigated. Oh, and if your service changes at all it will need to be rewritten from the ground up. Oh, and Implement it *perfectly* because if it has 5-nines of uptime but is down for a few minutes every year, or you missed a one in a million edge-case it doesn't catch, you're actually up a creek without a paddle.

No anarcho-capitalist I know of takes issue with collective bargaining in the abstract. The current form of highly-regulated unions we have in the us though are completely neutered. Mandatory negotiating and cooloff periods, no wildcat or sympathy strikes allowed, it's basically controlled opposition: "sure, you can strike, but only in very regimented ways we can easily plan for and won't effect stock prices too much". Of course we also don't approve of laws requiring businesses to unionize or prescribing how they must deal with unions if they don't want to.

I read a book about Rabies (called: *Rabid*, it was really good if you're into nonfiction). When the vaccine first came out it was 12 doses; and before that rabies was just a death sentence.
It is able to cross the blood/brain barrier, which is why it is so devastating. But it has a crazy-long incubation period, like months, which is why you can get a vaccine after exposure and have it be effective. A really wild virus. Glad you're ok.

Congress has not declared war since wwii. Every bomb and boot deployed to forign soil in anger since then has been in violation of the constitution. Congress doesn't have the power to pass a law making violating the constitution legal, they need to actually amend the constitution for that.
