as a note to my @npub1rk6…hv4q friends to attend as well cause talking to other major projects (sending it to Frank and Björn directly now instead), organising these W3C meetings since 2018, but also in the sense that the mastodon proprietary APIs is not the idea of this Open Protocol where a user chooses a generic server and has diverse clients to feed it. Like in menshys, redaktor, taxiteam or Public Spaces. It might not lead to diversity. Public Spaces Incubator (of the Public Broadcasters) will use C2S too.

oh yes, I am storing time zone + UTC.
But my question is about https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Intl/DateTimeFormat
by the time I am creating the date.
The User writes "morgen um 8 in Sydney" parses it with 'de-DE'
Then I create an Intl/DateTimeFormat with timezone Sydney and store the resulting UTC date [this is just the "Z" of the ISO string].
Made a fiddle for getting the current date in Sydney :

The main use is if a User wants to post as:Events ( https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-event ) and writing "Going-Away Party for Jim is next Saturday at 9pm in Sydney"
Then it is displayed in the different timezones which are relevant to the user.

https://gist.github.com/sebilasse/77ab52bb4ad82a9665f910a174c6ad90#file-shared-ts-L107 which uses Intl to parse a date in a timezone ("24. 10. um 9 in New York").
The whole parser can run in the browser (already when you are posting).
The Parser Class is constructed with the languages a user speaks if logged in or with the detected language of my redaktor/languages module for 852 languages. All the IANA timezones are built in Intl and so it works fine.

I can say "now here" is 22. 12:54 in NY and so on but what if Germany or New York had a time shift going on in the 6 hours between?
Since no server might be involved it can only use Intl and no node …

When I write
"Bin morgen um zwanzig vor eins in Sydney" and pare it in 'de-DE'
[same like "Am tomorrow at twenty to one in Sydney" in 'en'] and spits it into an array
"Bin" and an ActivityPub Event for the rest with the time in Sydney (or whererever).
While all dates are stored in UTC internally it converts it with JS Intl to Sydney time.
But whats happens when a time-shift occurs within the difference to UTC, do I have to check reverse anytime ?
Any ideas?

Du hast heute in der ARD bei der besten Klasse Deutschlands auf Nachfrage gesagt, daß Dein Berufswunsch nicht mehr Journalist ist, sondern "war".
Weil es „keine #Pressefreiheit mehr gibt“.
Weißt Du Jasper, Angst zu haben ist ganz wichtig, wenn Du Journalist werden willst.
Ich war zum Beispiel mal in Waffenfabriken. Dort gab es noch nie Pressefreiheit. Es ist ganz wichtig, daß Du es trotzdem machst.
Sonst haben wir irgendwann nur noch welche aus der schlechtesten Klasse – und das sind dann gar keine echten Journalist*innen …
Ich gehe jedenfalls fest davon aus, daß Dich die @npub1y3a…h4vt @npub16yf…0n5z @npub1tz5…u727 @npub14pc…p69s und alle zu einem Praktikum einlädt.

ah, I see -
„subset“ probably mean that it is the cached version of your Profile and missing the recent ones (?)
This comes down to the question if Profiles / which "Actor pieces" should be cached.
Another issue here is e.g. the caching of Avatars, Amongst well established codes and codizes in Social Media, people might change their Avatar, e.g. react to recent events.
In that case I'd argue that sending constant Update Activities for the Profile is important.
But if we would do that each time if all the people follow Jan Böhmermann it gets pretty expensive.
Maybe doing it for each total/100 followers.
The hundreds get rounded like 2.2k then it matters less (?)

Well, the documentation for this is in the specs.
It is all a `Question` type which can optionally have `oneOf` or `anyOf` if it'a a non-open-question.

I was the elected Policy Lead for W3C Social CG and this protocol and my observation is just that the ignorance from google is growing.

Yes, but firefox was basically forced by google to also do the bounce effect.

If google plans a feature they should speak to all affecting W3C groups and the CSS group, then wait until we can style it (or if it has enough acceptance) and _then_ do it :)

Same a while ago.
But the tag #CSS might be misleading.
We can turn it off https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/overscroll-behavior
but the <bilnk>bounce</blink> is a fail of #google and should rather read #BrowserMafia

Die „Sächsische Zeitung“ berichtet, daß bei einer Reihe von Briefwahldokumenten die ursprünglichen Kreuze überklebt worden seien.
Die Stimmen könnten in einer Einrichtung wie einem Seniorenheim eingesammelt worden und manipuliert seien.
