Yesterday I finally had the time to install IodéOS on my Fairphone 5 and even though I had some issues during the installation process (due to Google fuckeries, like encrypting a db for the lock screen selection, not the OS per se), everything else went smooth.
I reinstalled all my apps and micro-managed the permission for those cheeky apps that unfortunately I still need to install (Whatsapp, Telegram).
The OS runs smoothly and doesn't have a single preinstalled app that you can't uninstall and I love this.
In fact I switched my default apps to:
- [Etar (Calendar)](https://f-droid.org/it/packages/ws.xsoh.etar/)
- [GCam by BigKaka (Camera)](https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-BigKaka/)
- [Collabora Online (Office)](https://www.collaboraonline.com/blog/collabora-office-on-mobiles-supporting-password-protected-documents-and-available-on-f-droid/)
So far all the banking/payment apps are working, with the exception of Satispay.
I'm still on the verge about using Magic Earth as my default map app, because I heard there were some fuckeries about it but I hadn't read anything yet, so the choice will be between that, coMap (suggested by IodéOS) and OsmAnd~

Went hiking yesterday and although I couldn't use my drone for some aerial photos due to the high wind on top, I quite enjoyed the trip to Monte Di Stagno.
It's a zone I know very well but going through the same trails makes me discover new things every time.
Plus, I had to test new equipment (new boots, new nose :D )

Today I received a mail from Mountain Maps, yet another hiking map platform, heavily sponsored here in Italy, to inform me that they, cue for drum rolls here, decided to create an AI assistant in-app.

Let me be clear.
The app is far from being complete, it's missing most of the QoL functionalities and still doesn't have a web UI to help plan a route with precision.
BUT it has now an AI assistant. Which, I won't use, even though I bought a Premium lifetime license back when they started developing it, because hiking and planning a route is far too complex and dangerous to let AI do that for me.
I'm also sad that AI was nowhere to be found in their initial roadmap and now they swayed picking up a function that might be even dangerous for people, maybe to get more funds or whatever.

I'm afraid I could have hit a hard spot in my journey into photography.
I've been feeling a bit disconnected with my photographer's eye and that resulted in not using my camera so much, as well as not snapping photos.
It's like watching something with foggy eyes.

Good reasons that convince me to go to the office:
- it's 2,5 km from my home, meaning forth and back it's 5 km/day
- it's on the 6th floor, meaning that I can go up and down for 6 floors
- free coffee
- my backpack is usually around 3~4 kg
- we have a comfy couch where I can lay while reading during lunch break
Reasons why I don't want to go to the office:
- people
- more people
- the coffee is awful
- again, people
- oh jeez, too many folks
- in the most polluted and trafficked part of Bologna
It all boils down to get me moving and doing a bit of rucksacking/cardio while trying to boost my really low tolerance towards other humans.

I started reading "The fox and the little tanuki" by Mi Tagawa and I'm quite enjoying the drawing and the storytelling.

IF the next week my wife's check up (she got ran over by a car and broke her foot) will go well I MIGHT be able to hike during the weekend - only Sunday, only half day.
I'd never tell her because it's not her fault, but I feel like I've died inside a tiny bit during this month without hiking.
I went running or at the gym every day so it's not the exercise I've missed, it's the...I can't express it very well, but it could be the religiously delving into a forest, reaching a summit or being enthralled by the little things of the nature.
It's all of that. The preparation, the execution and the "after-taste", knowing I was there, up on a mountain.
Fingers crossed. I truly miss hiking.

So far I've been able to install 4/5 of the banking apps I use on my Fairphone 5 and got through the switching device process.
I'm not sure about the remaining app, as I'm not really sure I want to keep my account in that bank. Might as well port the app over and then close the account in the next few weeks.
So far, so good.

I'm still not feeling at 100% so tonight I went down hard with anti-inflammatory, because I can't stop and catch my breath in this period.

Today I found my first "fitness influencer" while hitting the gym during lunch break.
Tripod, phone camera and hogging the machine for a period between 1 hour and infinity, everything checks out.
Of course they didn't ask anyone for the recording consensus (because, you know, I may or may not be using a machine that get recorded), this is such a bad attitude and definitely part of the toxic gym culture.

I may be under a curse, but ever since I moved in our new house (3 year-ish ago, a few meters from where we lived) I haven't been able to keep a plant alive.
I love having plants and flowers around (as much as the two Satan's beasts - cats - allow) and I had no problem whatsoever with the same plants/types before the moving.
I feel this is really dragging me down in the very back of my mind. I may also have started going down the frustration route as I started looking for extremely technical explanations (like sensors reading the sun's exposition etc.)
Having one of your skill/habit cut off and not finding the reason why that happened sucks, hard.
