GNU Cat actually performs better than Busybox Cat because it does actual buffering and mmap trickery so it can handle large files better.
Also Busybox has no handlers for special cases like multibyte strings, unicode and other obscure encodings and whatever. Many types of edge cases are just simply not handled in Busybox for the sake of minimalism.

LLMs are "Large Language Models". They can not interpret images, they can only work with text.
All OCRs (Optical Character Recognition) is also often done using AI models (usually very small ones), but it is never using LLMs, because LLMs do not take images as input.

But reality is everyone needs a phone nowadays. Even if just for emergencies and such.
You used to be able to get by without a phone, as there was a phonebooth on every streetcorner, and there were also emergency phones on every highway, etc. Also non emergency things things like road maps, etc. are all disappearing from the streets.
You need a phone. Even I have a phone.
But yes pick a phone that has the least amount of proprietary crap as possible. It's a good thing to tell people to use something with LineageOS, or PostmarketOS, or the Librem 5, etc. instead of telling them to not get a phone at all (because nobody will listen to that).

@nprofile…z4st Go to Output settings, set it to Advanced and enable more than the default Audio Track 1 under the Recording tab.
Then go in Advanced Audio Properties (from the mixer) you can select which audio source goes to which track.
And yes practically all common video container formats support multiple tracks (MP4, MKV, etc.)

I personally don't think LLMs or GenAI software in general is always unethical by definition.
Currently almost all available implementations of it are unethical, but I see this as only temporary. There are definitely ways to create these AI models in an ethical way. We just haven't done that yet.
We also haven't fully figured out all the requirements to even make them respect the user's freedom in the first place.

But the fact that it is not legal, and there always remains a very small chance that someone will find and will be able to sue you and win, means that you are in fact not free, but are oppressed.

@nprofile…hnef As a solo software developer that is easy to say because the chance of your specific software will go unnoticed and never gets sued is very high. But as a large organization there really is no way around it, so you just have to either leave California or do the minimum compliance or you stop existing.

Guide on how to comply with California's "Age Verification" AB1043 as a software developer:
What to do:
* Don't give a shit because you don't live in California.
* If you live in California, leave California.
* If leaving is not an option, wait for a legal precedent for compliance has been set and implement the minimum requirements of the bill into your software (a very simple age bracket selection box during install will probably do more than enough).
What not to do:
* Already start proposing stupid and extremely deep implementations into xdg-desktop or d-bus. (Ubuntu)
What absolutely not to do:
* Freak the fuck out and relicense your entire codebase to a non-free software license because of a law not going into a effect for another year while you don't even live in California... (MidnightBSD)

But eventually I ran out of names from that show, so I name them after vocalsynths now.
This server is simply running a really old Debian installation (over 10 years old) which was still from my Madoka era.
