My wife went through all the cabinets and drawers in our bathroom the other day, to pack for our move. She threw out a lot of things she didn't need any more, packed a lot, and left a pile of things of mine that she wasn't sure if I wanted to keep or not.
So, I went through the pile and found something rather unexpected. She saw a packet of temporary tattoos and assumed they were mine because she didn't remember buying them, but no. They aren't mine...
She ordered temporary tattoos of my face, and forgot about them! 😂

I woke up to find my wife staring at her phone. As soon as she saw I was awake she excitedly told me about the responses she's made to posts about that were attacking supporters of a small local LGBTQ+ this morning.
Then she told me her autistic need for justice is really fucking strong right now, and went back to it.
God damn that is fucking sexy! I fucking love her. I am so fucking lucky!

Seems like a bug to me, but maybe it is intentional... If so, I don't understand why.
I can understand having an independent option to hide self boosts, but this behavior doesn't make sense to me.

I turned off showing boosts for someone I follow whose posts I really enjoy, and whose boosts I usually appreciate because they have a tendency to boost their own posts a LOT.
I do that at times, and I get it, but I've already seen them and my feed is overwhelming enough already.
Well, that back fired because turning off boosts seems to still show when they boost themselves!!? Why? So now I'm missing their boosts that I want to see but still getting overwhelmed by their self boosts.

I suspect that many of you who are #ActuallyAutistic like me also have a very strong sense and need for justice.
Today there will be a lot of injustice. Today is going to make me angry. Today is not okay, and I can't simply ignore it or try to find pleasant things to distract myself with.
I am glad for those who care but need to stay away and are able to. Take care of yourselves and do what you need to, please!
I need to feel this anger. I need to be mad that a fascist racist racist bigot has purchased our democracy to sell it to the highest bidders. None of this is okay, and I need to say that.

1) Pour a cup of coffee, and set it down on my desk.
2) Realize that I forgot to take my ADHD meds, and head to the bedroom to get them.
3) See a coffee cup on the nightstand, and grab that to put in the dishwasher.
4) Remember I meant to fix the way one of the cameras is mounted.
5) Grab a ladder to get to the camera, and then stab myself with a screw driver trying to get a screw in because I thought I could get away with not pre drilling.
6) Get a bandaid
7) Toot about dogs
8) Realize I'm almost late for a meeting, and go to the bedroom to get my laptop
9) Reply to a coworker's question on Slack
10) Suddenly wonder if I could get the cameras to stream to the bedroom TV easily.
11) Get the cameras streaming to the TV, and then do some cleanup to remove things I no longer use there...
12) Realize I'm late for the meeting, pull out the laptop and join
13) Send this toot.
14) Take my meds I hope.
I think there is a good chance that my coffee is cold now 😠

I worked for a company based in Montreal for many years, and so many of my coworkers would do this without even realizing they had. I constantly had to ask them to repeat things in English.
At the same job there were two programmers who both lived in Montreal but had been born in China. But, they were from different regions, and had a hard time understanding each other in Chinese, so they spoke to each other in English, and constantly complained about each other's pronunciation. 😂

It feels like it is getting worse and worse. So many people seem to slow to a crawl just because they are turning some time in the next few blocks!?! WHY!??!

That feel when you're laying in bed, getting sleepy, and you realize that you forgot to charge your sleeping headphones, so you have to use your gym headphones instead, because your daytime headphones aren't comfortable enough to sleep in and your really loud places headphones are just too big...
