It's not ideal or perfect, but the entire project was built with ~$5K and with such limited resources we had to compromise on some choices. I'm not sure why big tech salaries are always so glorified in the media. Sure you're making eye-watering amounts of money, but it also often requires you to be very willing to sell out on your basic values and complicity in surveillance and privacy violations. In the end, would the money really be worth it?

"Last week, a security researcher sent me 122GB of data scraped out of thousands of Telegram channels. It contained 1.7k files with 2B lines and 361M unique email addresses of which 151M had never been seen in HIBP before. Alongside those addresses were passwords and, in many cases, the website the data pertains to."
