An Enemy of the People seems pretty damn prescient for a 140 year old play. Scientist discovers pollution has poisoned and sickened town, because the authorities including his relatives have been negligent and greedy, and nobody believes him, nobody wants to believe him, and everyone is turned against him by (checks notes) his greedy relatives and other authorities, including the press. Sound familiar? Greed vs. Truth. Populism in the worst ways.
I think I'm going to have to read me some Ibsen.

We're coming close to the time when if there isn't enough farms and other sources of local produce to survive in a place, that those people will want to move somewhere there is. And if there aren't any such places, we'll all be screwed. Climate refugees aren't currently a favored status anywhere on the planet. But there are already tens of millions of them. Soon to be us.

2. Pop tastes are niche and ironic.
3. You don't need any of it, unless you're trying to make it with someone inappropriately young, or trying to relate to your coworkers at some corporate job, or other people who can't see past the commercials. You can languish in the back of the club enjoying things that have moved into the public domain or are spontaneous and real.
